    "Moving" Thursday Chat

Good Morning all, this office is officially closed for business but the moving part is still in progress. I should get a lot done today. Glenda, good luck with you move today as well. Yesterday was very stressful today I hope to be better. Jackie, while I was packing my desk today a favorite card of mine that I leave out as a reminder is from you a few years back, YOU THINK YOU GOING CRAZY,BUT YOUR NOT.... inside OK NOW YOU SAY IT TO ME...(ISNT THAT WHAT FRIENDS ARE FOR?) So I will say thank you again cause I needed that today, lol! The gift that keeps on giving :) Hope everyone is safe from the floods and terrible weather, I will catch back up when I can. Stay safe and have a good day BTW Can we meet at the TIKI bar tomorrow?

About an hour ago, I realized I hadn't put deodorant on. Thankfully I have a travel size in my desk here at work. It's not a good sign to have a "Duh" moment so early in the day. Embarrassed

Well I see the log in is still not working had to log in again...

    • Gold Top Dog

    New version coming very soon!

    • Gold Top Dog

I had to log in again too.  :(

Ginger, I'm glad that card gave you a laugh!   Good luck on the move.  I'll meet you at the Tiki bar  anytime. :)

It was chilly here this morning for April.  I think it was in the mid to low 50's.  lol  We're only getting up to 79 today according to the weather guessers.

My banana was a bit too ripe for me so I gave most of it to Gabby.  Now I'm hungry and don't have any yogurt at work.  Is it too early for lunch?  It's 10:15 AM here.

I was logged in this morning, so maybe we're headed in the right direction.

Continued good thoughts for Glenda & Gin moving.

    That card is funny :)

Not a whole lot going on here.  Feels like it should be Friday though.  But on the bright side, Thursdays are the days that a little Amish store up the street from work bakes fresh soft pretzels.  Someone in DH's group usually buys a bunch to bring in.  DH brought one over as a peace offering.  It was awesome :D

Steph -- you said peace offering -- depending on the kind of tiff or argument that may have occurred, I'd definitely "forgive and forget" if my DH brought me a freshly baked soft pretzel.  I've never found those here (other than the frozen commercial made ones, which are blech).

Sending "smooth and nearly-stress-free moving" vibes to Ginger and Glenda!

Jackie, I think Mother Nature swapped weather patterns between us.  Sounds like you've got our more typical May 1st weather, and we've got yours today.  They're saying it could reach 90.  Seriously, that is just nuts.  It doesn't even reach 90 that often in August!  I broke out the capri pants today, but thanks to the ridiculous heat and A/C system in our office, my legs and feet are very cold right now.  Good thing I keep some thick socks in my desk drawer for these problems!

Tina, I know you're a hard worker, but your concern about forgetting deodorant this morning gives me a mental image of you working at a frantic pace at your desk, typing furiously, flinging files and reports in all directions, answering endless phone calls, generally working up enough of a sweat that deodorant would be a must!  ;-)

I hate too-ripe bananas . . . and I'm hungry, too, Jackie.  It's only 9:30am here, but my coworker brought me in a couple big homemade cookies.  I've eaten one already.  But now I'd really love a warm, fresh soft pretzel.  I won't be able to get that out of my head now!

Had to log in for the third time this morning.  All to tell Steph hello and that I too would forgive my DH is he brought food as a peace offering. :)

Tracy, I had the same mental picture of Tina sweating away at her desk.  lol

    • Gold Top Dog

Yea, I was intending to reply to Tracy, but had to log in and got completely distracted and forgot till now. Bummer.

I forgave him, would have anyway, but the pretzel probably made it happen a little faster Wink

From Tracy's description of Tina working it just made me think of a character from a comic strip... but I can't think of the name of it... let me try a Google search....

Ah here we go... its "Cathy"  So from Tracy's description I pictured something like this:

How did you know Steph? Except for the in-laws (not married), that's pretty darn accurate. LOL

Where's the ROFL smiley when you really need it?!?

    • Gold Top Dog

I am a horrible more in person and it's not unusual for me to forget something like deodorant or mascara etc. So I have a bit of everything in my desk at work just in case lol I basically have 3 of everything morning related, stuff in the bathroom, stuff in my gym bag and stuff at the office. I really don't wake up until about 10 am ;p can't wait to retire. Sleeping in again will be awesome!

I started pt today and liked to therapist a lot! She taped me up with kt tape so I can continue to do my thing (yoga, hiking, biking)  while we work on pain and range of motion. It was nice to have someone understand that I am not about to sit on my but for months and wait for this to heal. She just said do what you need to until the pain gets too much then stop. I like that attitude!

I wore my yoga "ohm"  charm necklace today to remind me not to get so upset by little things. Balance balance balance, right? :)

Had lunch with and old friend today too. It was so nice reconnecting with her and we both really enjoyed it. Hopefully we can stay connected and not lose touch again!
