    monday monday

Cold cold. Good thing we have some wind. Had the brat down in the river bottoms yesterday. Beaver was active. Caught a blur as it hit the water. A flock of geese has taken up property rights in the pond. Dog was interested. He got right down to the edge, front feet wet, and watched. Then he noticed that a flotilla of big geese was moving in to check him out, and Lugnut backed off a bit. Pup is ranging out farther and farther, but likes to keep me in sight. Call him and he comes at a dead run, ears flopping and legs churning. I get to start opening pools today. 40F today. Oh joy!!!

Can't trust that day......it's actually a bit on the too warm side here today....all weekend actually.  But, cold is coming back so no complaints.

Off to start another manic Monday....

It's very mild here! Now that you mention geese I haven't seen many around my area this year. But if I am being completely honest, we haven't had the greatest weather to be out and about before this weekend. Cannot wait for my Harley to experience her first Spring. Poor little girl has only known cold weather pretty much her whole life. Hoping that means the upcoming months should be very happy ones! :) Happy Monday all!

It was 65 degrees here at 7:00a, temps supposed to drop to 20 by tonight. I hear that it is snowing north of me. It's windy and raining.

Saturday was beautiful, so I was able to get the yard cleaned up a bit. Then rain moved in.

My neighbor is re-roofing his house. I think he and his two helpers drank more beer than nailed shingles. We had a reprieve from the rain yesterday, and if it was my house, I'd have been hauling butt to get the job done. It's still about where they left it Saturday and we're supposed to have rain for a few more days. I'll bet the wife isn't happy.

GingerD is doing well, though we need to work on the barking for attention problem. It drives me nuts. Confused

I've got a good friend who suffers with this type of thing on a regular basis.  She had a half-built deck for 2 or 3 years, and same goes for a fence.  Her husband refuses to hire professionals for anything, saying it's too expensive, but works on projects rarely.  To me, it's not worth the savings to have that kind of frustration!

Tina, you've got my sympathy with the attention barking issue.  Ruby has that lovely habit, too.   Drives us nuts, too!

Didn't sleep well last night -- yesterday was gorgeous and warm, and I even took the flannel sheets off the bed, but I was still too warm all night.  Allergies were making my eyes and nose uncomfortable, and the pre-trip panic that started over the weekend wasn't helping either.  Got things set out to put in the suitcase after work today.  I cannot pack light because I need two kinds of clothing, thanks to the cold temps moving into that area.  I feel like I'm bringing my closet with me.

DH takes me to the airport this evening; Ruby will enjoy having him all to herself while I'm away!  Stick out tongue

Tracy, have a good trip and a fun visit.  It's rotten of Mother Nature to bring such crappy weather back.

We're windy, rainy and cold.   I had to put up my ex pen around one of my jasmine vines.  It's  a huge vine and some birds are nesting in the interior.  Belle is determined to get to them.  :(  She seemed pretty puzzled when we put up the ex pen.

I wish I could get over whatever has me feeling so blah.

Tina if you'd just spend all your time doing what GingerD wants she'd stop barking at you. lol  She'd also weigh 200 lbs in a few months.

Hope you don't get any bad weather Tracy. Looks like the snow may be back in several areas, including where we live. Feeling down in the dumps for several  reasons . One of the reasons is a good friend of  mines step mom has just gone under hospice care. She's 86 but that doesn't make it any easier. Of course can be thankful she had a good life. It's just so hard to think about visiting her when you know and she knows her days left are very few. I did have a good visit with her a couple of weeks ago when she was in the hospital. I may have mentioned her before. She'd been back and forth several times due to COPD. Sadly this time was different. She started coughing up blood and was diagnosed with lung cancer. She was still quite strong then though and so we had a nice visit. So glad I went. Not so sure I can handle a visit now that she's in hospice care.
