    Thinking Spring Thursday chat 4-10-14

I had a job interview last night for a weekend job and was hired. Not sure when I start, sometime after the background check is complete. I trust I've paid all of you enough to keep my secrets. Wink

My lips are sealed, Tina!  Wink  Congratulations on the weekend job.  I forgot that you told us that your job at the track was likely coming to an end.  I'm glad you found an alternative weekend post!

I'm swamped at work -- usual deadlines that fall in the first couple weeks of the month, along with other things I have to finish before my time off begins Tuesday.  I keep trying to focus on the things I MUST do before then, but these other mini-emergencies keep interrupting me and getting me off track.  I've been staying later to catch up on things, but today I have to leave on time for a hair appointment, so I won't make any extra progress today.

We've had some awesome weather all week -- sunny and in the 60's.  Ruby runs to the backdoor the second I come home so I'll let her outside.  She plunks herself down on the patio in the sun and basically doesn't move unless something super interesting gets her attention.  She hasn't even been begging for her dinner early, like she usually does!

I've been thinking about Gina and her family for several days.  Those of you on FB, do you know how her kids are doing since Cleo's passing?  I hope they're all hanging in there during such a sad, sad time.

Off to the stacks on my desk ---

I forgot to mention, last night GingerD and I were out in the backyard and a squirrel was crossing over on a power line to get back to his nest in the yard next door. I said, "Ginger, look, a squirrel" and as soon as she spotted it, she took off at a full run after it. Of course, it was 20 feet in the air, so she'd never get it, but I was utterly amazed that she could run. Six weeks ago she barely made it around the block.

Way to go, Tina and GingerD.  That's so cool. :)

Congrats on the new job Tina. Your new employer gave me a call this morning.  I told her you were above reproach and a hell of a good kisser.  She didn't have much to say after that.  Hope that was ok. Wink  In all seriousness, CONGRATULATIONS!!!

I see a dotted line around my post.  Does anyone else see that?

Yes, I see the dotted line. It's almost as if the quote box ran amok.

Tina, congratulations on the new weekend job!

GingerD--you go girl! What great progress!!

It was a gorgeous day here. I had to be inside a lot, but I tried to find as many excuses as possible to be outside, walk to another building, etc.

It does look the the quote box went a little overboard.
