    It's the Tuesday 4/8/14 chat!

I don't think I saw a thread started, so hopefully I'm not duplicating here.

From late yesterday -- Karen, I hope you feel a bit more rested soon.  I'm sorry you were too tired to watch the NCAA championship game.  One good thing about living on the west coast is that many live events (SuperBowl, Oscars, etc.) are on earlier due to the time difference.  I wouldn't normally watch it, but as a Connecticut native who had many classmates that went to UCONN, I was interested in this game.  Hopefully the women's team has equal success tonight!

Also from late yesterday -- exciting news, Kate, about your impending adoption of the young lab.  He sounds like a sweetie already.  Can't wait to see photos.  Any name yet, or are you waiting to see his personality after he meets Mosey and settles in?  Congrats!

I've got so much to do this week before I'm off starting next Tuesday . . . I'm feeling quite anxious.  I'll need more hours at work, yet I have lots of things to do outside of the office, too.  I always feel this way when a vacation is approaching . . . I start feeling like it's not worth the stress, and I should just stay home with DH and Ruby next week!

Ditto! He's going to be a lucky dog, that's for sure. Big Smile

Up to my eyeballs in work. And it's a beautiful sunny 55 degree day! I should have ridden my bike back from lunch.

Tracy, I know what you mean about not wanting to go on vacation as it gets closer and closer to time to leave.  Once you get there, you'll have fun and maybe all the in-laws will visit your house while you're gone. :)

Kate, I can't wait to see pics of your new dog when everything is finalized and he's home.

It's a gorgeous day here.  We had a big thunderstorm yesterday with some small hail.  Luckily my little tomato and pepper plants weren't damaged.  I think the storm was worse here at the office than at home.

I got Gabby and Ruger some treats at Petsmart.  I look for the ones on sale because they're going to expire soon.  Like dogs care . lol

I am soooooooooooooooo excited for Kate & Mozey and the new boy :)

Tracy there isn't really an end in site for living this high speed, low sleep life.

This new assignment goes through mid-June.

I have been working on my mindset in that this is my life - 5 am starts, full days and then dipping into the life I want. Last weekend was fabulous but clearly exhausting. I am hoping that my stamina will build.

For instance, I trained all day today - at the office for 10.5 hours and now I really need to answer some emails and read a couple of things. The saving grace is that I get paid by the hour.

I feel bad for my DH to some extent because he has to pick up the slack. I don't feel too badly because I do a ton of stuff around here and it is likely just more balanced.

And I think B and I have our balance. I dread some morning walks but only until I am out there. I have a friend that loves him and visits him a couple of times a week and I make sure we still do the things that make him happy. And of course they make me happy too. At least he is OK being left all day - he still gets a little too pent up after 3 days or so of a short walk and then left but it is easier to empty the tank than it used to be.

Jackie that is how I do all my shopping............oh look other people fear this let me have it for lunch LOL
