    Gloomy Saturday chat

Blech.  Cloudy, dreary, spitting rain.  Not a wonderful weekend day, but at least it's in the upper 30's, headed for the mid-40's and its ONLY rain instead of the white stuff.

Did most of my running around last night so don't have a heck of a lot of errands to do today, thankfully.  Laundry and a quick stop at the grocery for a couple of buy one get two free things that they were out of last night.  Oh, and need to pick up a couple RX's at the wonderful Wally World.  Never my favorite place to be on the weekend, but.........

I hope everyone has a relaxing and enjoyable weekend!  Off to brave the laundry!

It's cool and windy here.  The humidity is lower so that's nice.

I'm off to the vet with Rex in a little while.  Time for his annual vaccine and NSAID panel.  He loves going and gets a lot of petting from the staff.  One of the receptionists always threatens to steal him.  :)

I need to go shopping for some summer tops.  Yuck. I hate clothes shopping.  I also need a new purse.  I wish I had a personal shopper. lol  A gardener would be nice too so I didn't have to clean the weeds our of my front flower bed.

gorgeous day here - we were a bit too warm this week (mid-80's) so it's nice to be in the 70's.

I am exhausted after a long week and yesterday was a full one - starting at 5am and I didn't go to bed until after midnight! We went to a couple's house for a meal and it was fabulous but wow all I want to do is sleep today

Instead of sleeping, I have taken B to the lake. And am now planning all my errands. Jackie I need a personal shopper too!

And a gardener for when I don't want to do that, and definitely a house cleaning service too!

However, I don't have any of these so I had best get my butt in gear LOL

Hope Rex's vet visit went well.  It's so nice when our dogs are happy to see the clinic staff. I'm grateful both Tonka and Ruby react that way at the vet's office.  It would be so hard to handle those visits if a dog were super afraid of being there.

Count me in for the personal shopper service.  I hate clothes shopping . . . I wouldn't mind going to the store and trying things on if I just sat in the dressing room and someone brought me all the outfits that they know would work for me.  I also need a new purse and have kept my eyes open for a good one for months, but I can't find anything that fulfills my ridiculously long list of "what makes a perfect purse."  The one I use now is about 20 years old (I've tried a couple others in beween), but it's too small and doesn't have enough compartments for all the crap I seem to carry now.

I decided to come into the office for an hour or two today.  I've got so much to do before I go out of town later this month, so if I can cross a couple things off the list today, I'll feel a bit less stressed on Monday when I come in.  It's rainy and blah outside today, so I figured it was a good afternoon to sit in the office while it's quiet.  Kind of creepy, though -- only 4 cars in the parking lot!

Beautiful Saturday.  Started early though(3 AM).  One of my brothers called me to go fishing on the Mississippi river by Red Wing, MN.  Ice is out on the river, and fish are moving and getting hungry.

We spent the whole day on the water.  Wildlife was everywhere.   Bald Eagles flying all over, Turkey Vultures, Sandhill Cranes, Pelicans, geese and ducks, and 3 Golden Eagles.  One flew over so close I could count the toe nails.

We limited out on fresh fish, but after the Golden Eagles flew over, fish were anticlimactic.

I forgot the camera.  Left it on the desk at home.
