Happy Hump day chat

Thanks for sharing more of the details, Cathy and Marty.  How heartbreaking!  From what little I've read about bloat, I thought it had something to do with too much activity or stress or excitement after eating or drinking, but surely that couldn't have been a factor for Cleo since she's a mellow girl and had presumably been sleeping all night and not exerting herself.  It's such a terrible condition that seems to have no rhyme or reason for why/when it happens.  Depending on where you live, it might be near impossible to get a dog to a vet in time . . . which makes it even scarier.

I'm just so sad for Gina and her family.  I'm just going to imagine Cleo at the Bridge, watching over her new angel-charges:  the pets who went to the Bridge much too young or who deserved more TLC than what they had in real life.   She'll continue to be a Hairy Godmother!

Cathy so sorry to hear of your friends news about the tumors. So young. The stepmom of a good friend of mine has just been diagnosed with terminal cancer. She is 87 and though not nice for anyone to get at least shes had a good long life. She has COPD and has been on oxygen for a few years but has continued to be active and taken care of herself. And yes she was a smoker. May have quit in her 70s. Cant remember for sure. I was a smoker as well. Been about 20 years since i quit. My heart just sank as well when I read about Cleo. How sad and what a thing to have to tell the kids when they got home. RIP sweet beautiful Cleo. Great about the weight loss Michele. Glenda good luck on the house hunting. I cant remember..how many dogs do you have now?  I am now using my kindle, as ive turned the computer off to the Internet. So until I get a new computer doing this one finger typing and making all sorts of errors hitting keys I shouldn't be hitting. It is a real pain.

Sadly, we are down to one dog now.  Only Theo is still with us.
