    Saturday Chatting

I hope to make it to the nursery today. Our weather has been so nice I bet it will be crowded with people like me wanting to get started on their gardening. Monday we're getting a little cold snap. DH is still asleep. He must have stayed up late as he's usually up before me these days. I feel a cold coming on but I'm going to ignore it and hope it goes away.

I hope you don't get sick Jackie.

I'm trying to decide what to do today. Probably need to start with laundry and the dogs need brushed which leads to vacuuming.

I'm jealous you have warm enough weather for a market.

I'm trying to come up with a plan to talk the pd into doing some traffic control for our trailing dog so she can do an urban super busy street training search. Most of her call outs are urban settings which are tough because of the way air moves around intersections. It takes a lot of practice to get it down. She has experience but not too much 5 Lane high volume traffic experience. Although she has done a freeway trail with the police. Wish i had been there to see that.

I went to pick up my boots yesterday. They were supposed to be in by Tues. Apparently they were shipped to oh instead of MI. The guy was laughing and found the whole thing entertaining. I couldn't believe it. Wasting my time is not funny to me.  I wasn't amused! Now they say this Tues. Sar camp is next weekend they better Flipping be there! I paid 200 for these things.

Piper is hurting.  Back legs are and have been weak.  May have a disc ruptured or arthritic.  She stopped eating and started throwing up yesterday.  Saw vet this morning.  Blood drawn, but that showed no infection  and internals okay.  The vet found a hot spot on her back-may be inflammation from an injury.  The pup likes to jump on her at the top of the stair way and may have made her fall and hurt something.

She is on a pain killer and a stomach soother.  Laser treatment of her back and a bag of water drained into her.  She is sleeping now.  She had been moaning this morning and had me flat out scared.

I hope the pain killer and tummy meds help Piper feel better.  Giver her some gentle ear rubs from me.  I'd have been scared too at the moaning and  other symptoms.

Julie, I hope you get your boots soon.  That was definitely an annoying reaction you wouldn't expect from customer service, no matter how much $ a customer spent.

Doug, I'm so sorry to hear Piper is hurting.  I hope the pain meds give some relief, but not so much that she thinks she's 100% better and starts leaping off snow mounds with the puppy and re-injures herself.  Speaking as another female who is well into middle age, hanging with the super young can have some tough side effects!  Wink. Gentle ear rubs for Piper from me.

The woman who does DH's scary make-up for his costume at the shelter's auction event every October opened a new salon space, so we went to the open house festivities today.  Along with wine and snacks, they were doing some give-aways, including application of a new thing called hair chalk.  It's a temporary color to paint on little sections for a spot of color.  Most of the colors were bright, so I was too chicken to try it.  DH said sure, why not?  Next thing I knew, he had gone back 3 more times.  He now has a rainbow effect going on:  pink, purple, teal, and red.  Can't wait to hear what flack he gets at his shop Monday.  Good thing it washes out in a few days!
