It's raining!! :) We need it. It's cold too but we'll warm back up by Friday. How's Ginger doing, Tina?

Ginger is doing well. Last night after work I took her for a little walk. She got so excited when she saw the leash in my hand that she did a little "happy jump". It was cute! We only were out for about 10 minutes because I was freezing my butt off and not all the sidewalks are cleared. She doesn't seem to enjoy walking through the deep snow, probably because she's a bit unsteady on her feet when she sinks in it. I think this will ease up once she loses a few pounds. Overall, she really liked getting out for a stroll.

That's so cute that she was did a happy jump at the sight of the leash. :)  She probably has some arthritis going on in addition to the extra weight.   That sort of sounds like a description of myself.  lol

Glad Ginger is doing well. Jackie I wish we were getting rain, we are getting slammed this morning with a big snow. I'm so ready for spring and the dogs are too. Back to work today, was off Monday and Tuesday went to Philadelphia to see a concert and just have some fun. Back to reality today. Stay warm and safe everyone.

Ginger may need to get used to cold.  If she hasn't been getting out in it, her coat might be a little light.  My old dog seems to be enjoying it more now that she is out more often-can not take out just one dog at a time, and you might as well wait once your out to let both finish.  Lugnut like to take his time.

Puppy class last night.  Gunther wrestled with a Great Dane pup for a long time.  The GD was really careful to not hurt  Guns, even though it sounded like they were tearing each other apart.  The GDs owner would pull him off to protect Guns, but mine would jump right back into the "fight".

I've had the dogs sleeping in the basement for a while.  Gated the bottom and side rooms. They have their choice of a people bed, the sofa, or two dog beds.  Guns likes to sleep near Piper, and it makes for a quiet night.  About 5AM, I hear the patter of little feet in the hallway, the bedroom door opens, and Guns puts his nose into my face.  The gate doesn't even slow him down.

    Plan 2 starts tonight.

7degrees F with a strong wind.  Wind chill factor is so low I don't want to know. It cuts right through my heavy parka.  Schools are closing now because of the wind.  Going to be some drifting, judging from the way the snow is blowing.  I think of this time as practice for retirement.  I don't really seem to miss working too much.  I had one call yesterday, froze my nose and fingers.

Got wood dust to make.  Keep warm.

Doug, when Ruby plays with her Boxer friend, it sounds like a major fight -- they're so vocal and growly and grabbing each other's jowls, etc.  I'm always wanting to separate them (especially because the Boxer is older and slightly arthritic), but DH and our friends say they're fine, just playing roughly, etc.

I saw some of the weather reports from MN and other northern states.  I just can't imagine how sick and tired of winter you all must be.  There comes a point where enough is enough!

Tina, Ginger's little happy jump must've been so cute.  I showed her photo to DH last night, and even he said, "Awww!"  It'll be so nice when the weather improves and you can take her on strolls more often when you'll both enjoy them more.  I bet she'll be so happy to check out her new neighborhood in the spring time!

Speaking of spring, I've seen lots of daffodil greens sprouting around the neighborhood, including some in a pot on our patio.  Well, today I drove by this plumbing supply place I pass every morning, and there were 2 or 3 dozen fully bloomed daffodils popped up in the green space next to their parking lot.  I don't remember noticing the greens before today, but the flowers looked so bright and cheery.  We'll see the pink blossoms on flowering cherry and plum trees any day now!

Hi all, we are cold again here, had some flurries this morning.  I actually have some Jonquils that are showing color :( freeze temps last night and tonight we will see how well they hang in the next few days.

Tina your description of Ginger's happy little jump definitely put a smile on my face today.

Most of you may remember we did a software conversion at work last month.  The new software has been doing way better than we could hope for.  Yesterday was our first billing cycle and it seems that there were a few hic-ups.  I  do not have to deal with that part but I do feel for those that are stressing right now.  I have been so happy with the changes so far that I know this too shall pass :)   How bout some good de-stress vibes for my billing department!!

Oooh, good stuff, Ginger.  (ok, both the human and the puppy. lol)

I love it when change happens and makes you happy instead of mucking everything up!
