Mindless sunday

I'm currently procrastinating. I need to be getting ready to go meet some friends though for dog training. I just don't want to go out on the slick roads.

There's more roof raking ahead of me today. Talk about hard work! That snow is heavy! I also need to go get a few more jugs of roof melt to try to battle the ice dams. Dont all you Southerners want to move North?  ;p

Where is the maid fairy? My house is a mess. I guess she doesn't no there's no rest on Sundays.

Thank god for 3 day weekends.

Damien,  spawn of Loki, god of mischief, flushed a sparrow today.  It must have been sick, because it wouldn't fly high or far.  basically from one shrub to the next, then back.   Pup was on it for a while, then my feet got cold so I carried the pup in .  His nose works, and he has good instincts.  Now if he would sleep a while.  he had a rough night, so this afternoon he get to visit the WMA until he doesn't want to any more.

Julie, the maid fairy is MIA here too.  I need to clean my house but the weather is too nice to be indoors.  I guess I better do it anyway since I slacked off last weekend and the dust and dog hair are taking over.  

We went to see the movie Philomena yesterday.  It was really good and I laughed my head off in a few places and cried in others.  Perfect balance.  Steve Coggins was perfect for that role.  

What kind of shelter lets a frail, elderly (90's) couple adopt a three month old large breed mix?  The pup has already caused the husband to fall twice.  They felt sorry for the pup when they saw it featured on a local TV news broadcast.  grrrr

Oh my gosh!  What stupidity on the part of the shelter.

Should anyone chance upon the maid fairy, please send him/her my way.  My house is in dire need of cleaning too, but, I have to go widen the tunnel at the foot of the driveway before I can attack the house.  I guess a womans work IS never done.  

since it is a whooping 14 degrees here today and feels like 2, off to bundle myself into oblivion and go face the snow banks.

It is snowing again. I guess what do I expect, as after all it is winter. Supposed to be warming up by the end of the week though. That is absolutely crazy Jackie about that pup. I know some of the municipal shelters, that I've been to or know of, will adopt to anyone who has the money. Things are changing though, slowly but surely, as I think more municipal shelters, in our area anyway, are starting to do things the way they should be done.

i totally panicked this morning when it suddenly started snowing again. fortunately it stopped quickly.

i spent a couple of hours gathering tree limbs from the storm, Bugsy was a great help lol

Doug your pup is so cute, I love the endless energy..... and the nap after it is expended.
