Snowy Saturday chat

    Snowy Saturday chat

Seriously?  Another 3-5 inches today?  THREE days in a row?  We've already got between 15 and 18 inches on the ground from the last two days.  Sigh.

Errands to run today since yesterday was sooooo sloppy.  And then, of course I get to man the shovels again.

Hope everyone is staying warm and dry today.

Glenda, I talked to my Mom in CT last night, and she was expressing the same exasperation as you.  She said it seems like the snow just keeps falling, and she's sick of it.  She lives in an over-55 community, so they plow the main road around the apartments ans clear walks and some of the parking areas, but she still has to work a bit to get her car out of its space.  She got stuck yesterday, but luckily two maintenance guys were nearby to give her a push out.  She is done with winter!

We had a very dull Valentine's evening.  DH has a bad headcold, so his appetite isn't great so we had BLTs for dinner.  I picked up a couple fancy cupcakes on my way home, so that was our Valentine treat.

We slept late today -- so nice not to hear an alarm at 5am.  It's raining, so the room was dark, which also made for a good sleeping in day.  Nothing exciting on tap other than errands and chores.

Hard to believe it's mid February already!

We got snow again this morning.  Started grey out, then the horizon got close, then about 3 inches in an hour.  Gunther whined to be let out-then piddled.

Yup, it's snowing again here, too. And I think it's started hours before it was "supposed" to, so who knows how much we'll get. I am ready for a bit of a break (and I love the winter). I've got the Olympics on (Swedish hockey right now)--how can Sochi have palm trees and snow?  Or, is it just the mountains that have the snow? I watched skeleton last night--that's just crazy!

Mozey is curled up on her down puff taking a nap. We were going to go for a walk-maybe not.

Gunther, you are just too cute!

My mother has been totally "sick of snow" since Christmas and this from a woman who has NEVER in all my almost-60 years on this planet uttered the words "sick of snow".  They're nearly 90 and my parents are finding this winter pretty awful.

David and I always over-celebrate Valentines.  He surprised me with a new phone (we got locked into a 2yr contract on the most horrific phone in existence 20 months ago & I've been limping along on my old 10 year old Razor for 19 months & he took pity on me 'cos I've just been putting up with it cos I'm the one who hated the other phone).  But the sound quality on this is **nice** .

We're going to a comedy club tonight to see Michael Winslow (remember the guy in the Police Academy movies who makes all the sounds/voices???).  Should be fun and it was only $20 cover.

Now they're calling for 14 inches of snow, with more out on the Cape and in southeastern Mass. It is supposed to be in the 40s next week--woohoo!

    Callie, have fun tonight!

OMG!! Totally in love with that puppy!

"They" are saying we could get an additional 6 inches tonight.  "They" need to be shot.

DS and I spent a few quality hours clearing the driveway today.  The non-perishable groceries are still sitting on the counter.....but, by golly the driveway is far better now.  The banks on either side of the foot of the driveway are about 5 feet high.  Tomorrow we'll need to go out and chisel another foot or so out on either side of it so we have a wider tunnel to scoot through, but at least now, I can pull all the way into the driveway or park beside the garage.  I did the bulk of the driveway while DS tackled the foot of it.  My gosh.

Nice V Day gift Callie.  What is the new phone?  I stuck with my "dumb" phone for the longest time but I love my Galaxy 111 mini!  I have a Bluetooth for it and it saves me scads of time!  And, actually, with the plan I'm on, it saves me a lot of money every month over  the old prepaid plan.

Every bone and muscle I've got is screaming bloody murder so guess it's time to pull out the heating pad.
