    Tuesday Chatting 2-4-14

Almost time for lunch. I'm starving! That's all I got.

We had ameri-mexican for lunch today. It wasn't really the best choice but it was only $5.

I have a meeting this afternoon and someone called to give me a heads up that I will be walking into a hostile environment. I'm really thankful for that phone call because I had no idea. Now I can bring the right people along that can answer to the decisions that they made. Regardless this afternoon won't be much fun.

    I'm feeling very cranky today.

Still waiting to hear on my car.  I know a brake line needs replacing, but there are other things I asked for an estimate on, and they DO open at 7AM and the car was there for them last night......would love to get it back today, but it's not looking real good.  Sigh.

Sorry Julie, I meant to add that I hope the afternoon is less hostile than anticipated.

Lunch was a turkey/chicken "Lunchable" with a side of avocado. Was a bit on the fly today, no rest for the weary. Back to it.

My lunch was some chicken wings and yogurt. Thanks to Tina I saw Doug's puppy pics. What would I do without my younger friends? lol Julie, good luck on that crummy meeting. I've got the 2x4 if you need it. I'm off to scan ten billion invoices. OK, maybe that's an exaggeration but a lot. *grumbles off*

I ate a horrible (for health) but tasty lunch -- chicken fingers with BBQ sauce.  I walked to the store to get some soup, but the delicious scents from the deli counter seduced me, and there was no resisting them!

I hope your meeting isn't too stressful, Julie.  Glad you got the warning call!

It's snowing here -- big huge flakes for the past hour, but nothing was sticking when I walked out there a few minutes ago.  There was no mention of this in the forecast.  We're supposed to see temps in the teens the next couple nights (not normal for us), so we'll see what happens.

So, there's a very cute face at work today.  Our IT consultant has a new Boxer puppy, and she brought her in to visit.  Here she is, napping in her "Mom's" lap in the office next to mine.  Needless to say, I'm not getting much done since I have to keep going over to touch her incredibly soft ears.  I held her for a while and she is definitely a kisser.  So cute!  She's so calm and quiet -- I can't believe she's only 11 weeks old!

How do you post pictures so they load automatically?

I have decided to eat healthy again - I have been buying lunch and grabbing stuff left and right and I just can't keep doing that so today I was sitting there with my ultra-healthy lunch while down the hall was yummy nirvana of our cafeteria (the food is awesome and they do have healthy stuff but that wasn't what I would buy) so I sat at my desk eating baby carrots. Booooring. Tracy that pup is sooooooooooooo cute! I have puppy fever quite badly but can't do it when I am at work 11-12 hrs a day :(

Doug, when I reply to posts (whether or not I will be including a photo), I first choose the option to use the custom text editor before I start typing.  That brings up all the little icons for changing text colors, fonts, using smileys, etc.  When I want to add a photo in the body of my post, I start on a new line, then click the icon on the far left, second row.  I think it's supposed to be a computer or TV screen.  It opens up a box that says "insert/edit media" and there's a box where you can browse where to pull the photo from off your computer.  Once I select my photo, I click insert.  There may be a simpler way to do it, but that's what I do!

Karen, I was telling the puppy's mom that I wished I could take the puppy home, and she said, "You would send her right back to me when she starts whining in her crate for her 3am potty break!"  Yup, puppies are a bit like babies:  really cute when they're happy, quiet, or sleeping, but there's a LOT of hard work and exhaustion that goes along with the deal!  Wink. I'll be happy to just visit with her!

    Omg cutest puppy!!

Good luck with the healthy eating. I have never been able to eat eat veggies as snacks. I wish I could :( I am trying to get back on the healthy bandwagon though too. I slipped big time over the holidays and became extremely hermit like during Dec and Jan (with good reason... Have you seen our weather?!) but my mood is suffering big time and I gained 5 lbs. So it's time to suck it up and get my head on straight again. If the temps would just stay above 10 degrees I would be OK.

The snow is so deep the dogs need snow shoes. If intake them out in virgin snow areas they look at me like really? You want me to run around in this?

I got the dogs photos taken on Sunday. Can't wait to see how they turned out!
