new pup

Tricky works. You may have heard of the "puppy dog" technique in sales. It works. Esp with puppies. Needed dog food, so we stopped at Pet Expo, our local big box. Next county over had a rescue program going. One girl had a ESS puppy on a lead. Brown body, white patches. Two months old. I picked him up, loved him up a bit, then let my wife hold him. Photos of Duncan will follow-not sure about name yet. They were calling him Gunnar, my wife likes Duncan, I guess I don't really care.. He is bold and unafraid, so Piper has had a talk with him. Eats like a vacuum, chases everything. Explores. Not that I am excited or anything.

Oh, what fun news! I am such a fan of springers--had a black and white one. Gunnar/Duncan, you are one lucky pup!! Piper, we know you're the veteran--you'll show him the ropes :-)

I can't wait to see pictures! Bully rubs for the new puppy and extra snuggles and rubs for Piper.

Wow, Doug! What a difference 3 or 4 hours makes. I thought I saw a post earlier today that you might wait til spring or retirement for a new pup! This is exciting news. I really like the name Duncan . . . Our friends have a Cocker by that name, and he's a cuddle bug.

Looking forward to seeing pics of BOTH dogs soon!

Well, I couldn't have possibly thought of a better post to read today. Congratulations to you, your wife, Duncan and sweet Piper. I can't wait to hear stories and see lots of pictures. So happy for all of you!!!
