Friday - Open the Tiki Bar please! (Callie 12-6)

I screwed up and put this in the wrong place at first -- hope I can plop it in NDR this time. Yay Friday!! I am *so* ready! We have a local theatre that plays the less mainstream, more independant flicks & I noticed a film I figgered Davey would love. Only showed at 9:30 (on a weeknight? Am I crazed?? Yes) but we went to see it last night. "Good 'Ol Freda" - Freda Kelly was "secretary" to the Beatles (& secretary of their fan club) from the days when they played the Cavern in Liverpool to when they went their separate ways (11 years). If you have an opportunity to see this - do it!! Not a trashy expose -- she simply became 'family' and her recollections really added a surprisingly fun and informative view of them. You don't need to be a mega fan -- it's just a good movie. But oh boy I am dragging today. I used to go to "midnight movies" all the time and then go to work the next day. Well, I'm at work but .. can it be old age is setting in?? LOL

Sitting at the airport and hoping to change seats to the front since the plane isn't full. They wouldn't let me switch seats without paying a fee even though the entire front of the plane is empty based on the seating chart. Bastards!

I'm looking forward to getting home to see the pups! They will be pretty excited I'm  sure :)

I hope my car starts when I get to it. It's an hour from home so getting anyone to come help me will not be possible. Please start please star please start! t

Callie, I just got the weekly email from our local indie theatre, and that movie was one they're showing.  I thought it sounded good, and I'm not even a major Beatles fan.  I know what you mean about weeknight social activities that run late.  The next morning is tough!

Julie, sending you good travel vibes, with no ear or sinus pain, and a strong battery ready to go when you start your car!

My radio alarm went off this morning with the guy listing several school closures.  Huh?  I thought it was just cold out.  But, snowfall has started, and flurries make people over react just a bit around here.  I'm waiting for the plumbers to arrive . . . Still dealing with that fiasco.  At least iI can go into work after the morning traffic is over.

The hummingbird feeder has been freezing, so we keep swapping one out every few hours.  The little guy was landing on it as soon as I stepped out the door with it in my hand.  He was drinking while I was trying to hang it.  I almost touched him ,but decided not to.  Poor guy must be so cold!

something warm to drink today, Deb?  Stay warm and safe everyone.  I hope those in ice and snow areas are okay!

Oh my I hope your little hummingbird makes it!

The car started like a champ. Yay. I scammed myself a better seat on the plane too. One in the front with nobody else in the row. Smart phone app for the win! (I looked up the seating chart for the flight as they were shutting the doors and moved to a seat that wasn't assigned).

The dogs were very excited when I got home. I had to give them frozen Kongs to leave me alone so I can unpack. Can't wait to change the sheets on the bed and take a nap!
