Sunny Sunday Chat

It's way too cold for me and we're not even at freezing. lol  No sun and still sort of windy with spitting rain.  

I'm going to make a chicken pot pie for dinner. That alone is enough to make me happy.

The dogs got bored and tore a hole in one of their dog beds. They didn't make much of a mess since I came in just in time to end the fun.  I'm glad it was one of the cheapo beds.  I can restuff it and sew up the hole.  They want to play outside so I guess I'll have to break down and take them.  

It's cold and windy here, too! I actually put a coat on Mozey when we went for our walk after supper because the wind chill is just too much. I do have a nice fire going in the wood stove, so it's pretty warm in here.

I need to grade a few more of my students' assignments before I head to bed. I hope everyone is well.

Kate!  Nice to hear from you!   Have you had any more leads about a companion for Mozey?  

Your woodstove sounds nice right now.  We're having very cold temps here (20s and 30s is unusual at night this time of year).  I've got my warm slippers on and Ruby is under her fleece blanket next to me on the couch.  

She got to romp and wrestle with her Boxer friend today (we humans stood in the sunny part of the yard).  She had a nice warm bath and is zonked now.  She'll probably sleep thru the Patriots game, but seeing how it's going after only a few minutes of play, I may wish I slept thru it, too!

12 loaves of bread (banana, pumpkin, cranberry and zuck), five pies, 3 pumpkin from home grown stock, 2 apple, baked beans, a pot of bean soup, 2 loaves of roasted garlic chibata bread.  I'm ready for a glass of wine and a LONG nights sleep.  

It's warmed up here...17 feels like TWO.

gonna be a LONG winter

I had a lot of fun today tooling around rocky Mountain national park! It was 40* and they lot lots of fluffy snow. Saw some an elk herd up close and personal and did some short hikes/walks through the woods. Beautiful.

My dogs are doing well according to my dog Sitter. She hasn't seen neiko kicking himself up any hot spots so that is good. Lily is counter surfing and causing a ruckus when she goes to the dog Sitter house though. The resident dogs keep getting after her for her misbehavior. Lily....She can be such a turd.

I hear the weather back home is in the negative digits. Thank god I'm not there!
