Hello! I've Been Gone A Long Time!

Hi everyone!!! How is everybody? I've missed you, honestly! Been super busy, four dogs now. My job doesn't leave me forum time anymore, and I'm not really on the computer at home. This is from my phone. Belle is 10.5 now and doing well. Her back end is weaker since her FCE but she gets around ok and still enjoys her walks. Just baby agility in our backyard. Teddi is Teddi. Still a princess. Yesterday was her 7th birthday. Thought I would get a novice obedience title on her but Teddi had other ideas. Soundness, surprisingly she is hanging in there. I see a little soreness at the end of an active day. She is only on Dasuquin and Adequan (with Belle). Quinn is 4 now. She is doing very well in agility with Art. They need 1 more excellent jumper Q, then on to master. She runs master standard. She almost has her junior hunter but she barks, so we can't advance unless she shuts up so Art is in no hurry to finish her. She is one year post op TPLO #1, we are hoping to put off #2 as long as we can but it's going to happen. She was pretty sore earlier this summer but looking good now. And then there is Gabby. My little superstar. She turned 3 (hard to believe) in September. She has many titles in many venues after her name. We are in master both jumpers and standard in agility. We are working on her CDX, and she has two senior hunter legs. She is a blast to work and train. She is a fast little bugger, she has beaten the border collies in agility. She has a couple standard wins in master. Her meningitis (knock on wood) has not re-appeared. Hope it never does. We were busy this past summer training and trialing. It's winding down for us for the remainder of the year. But the training continues, just the trials are winding down. Nothing is really "new" with me. I spend my evenings getting dogs out, taking care of my house and SLEEPING! Only to start over the next day. Obedience class is Monday, agility Wed and field on Sat when we are not trialing. Or our trainer isn't at a test. Hope all is well with folks here. I talk to Karen via email from time to time. Julie I hope I see you at the CCCAC trial in Nov at the MSU Pavillion. Did I tell you all I quit riding? Gave Petie away. I visit him from time to time. I miss "him". I think about riding and know I could get a horse to ride, but I'm readying it like alcohol to an alcoholic, I won't miss it if I stay on the ground. I'm sorry I have been so estranged. I think about this board often. I'm not on any boards much anymore. I don't do Facebook either. Just no time. Days do shorten as we age don't they. Seems harder and harder to get stuff done. Will try to stop in more. Is there a smart phone app/version of this board?? Ann

Hi Ann!!! We've missed you and your crew but thanks for updating on all of them. Sounds like they're all doing really well. Based on all you're doing, I can see why you're not around much. I do agree that the days get shorter the older we get. Hope to see more of you though and new pictures of your pups would be super nice. :)

Nice to "see" you here, Ann!  Wow -- no wonder you don't have any forum time -- you're busy!  I can't imagine juggling a job, 4 dogs, and all the agility activities you described.  Sounds like all your dogs are doing well.  I second Cathy's suggestion for some new photos!

Things are quieter here -- lots of people spend more time on Facebook (like you, I don't use it), and the new forum format drove a few more away.  But it's always great to see some "old" members pop in whenever they can!

Wow its great to see you.  I cant believe Gabby is 3 already sounds like she is a ball of fire :)

So glad all is well with you guys maybe you could do some pics of the crew.  As for the days getting shorter, it seems like the weeks months and years seem to fly by as we get older.

Take care and dont be a stranger

Ann! Your ears must have been burning. I was thinking of you the other day and wondering where and how you've been! You sound insanely busy! Glad to hear things are going well. We need to get together. What is the date of the trial? I will make a point to get over there and look you up. You have my cell still right?

Hey all!! Glad I'm not forgotten. I will try to log in over the weekend and bore you with pictures and a video or two. From a computer. Art is going up north for the weekend to help his dad close the house. So I won't have him to tell me I should be doing something other than playing on the computer. :-)

Jewlieee HOWDY!!!!! I'm not sure I do have you number. I have one it's old. If it hasn't changed.....the trial is the weekend after Thanksgiving. The day after and Sat/Sun not Dec. We are running all 3 days.

Ok who turned the heat off? We went out tonight with Quinn and Gabby to do some simple field work. Holy cow was I cold!!!!! I don't like cold. I was proud of my girl, we haven't done any field since a test in Aug but she wasn't even rusty. We didn't do complicated stuff but Gabby was awesome!!! Quinn looked rusty.

Today Teddi's right hip turns 6 years old!!

Wow.....I need to update my avatar. Gabby is a baby in that picture.

Hey Ann!! Good to see you posting!

I added pictures and videos on the picture thread. This new format is a bit strange......

Not too many of Belle, those black labs are hard to photograph and I don't have many recent good ones. Tells me I need to take more pictures of her. I tried to load one of Teddi from obedience at National but the picture was too big. So go see the girls. Posted a couple agility videos of Quinn and Gabby.
