    Finally Friday chat

TGIF!  Going to be a busy day and probably rather damp, but, boy, it's good that the weekend has finally arrived....or close to it.

My new paper premieres today and I'm excited!!  Can't wait to see it in print.

Eeee gads!  No Deb for todays drink?  Not good.

Off to get started on the day....hope everyone has a great one!

I am dragging today! Tgif for sure although my weekend is going G to be so busy Fri doesn't really matter.

I am on the road today and have lunch scheduled with a  few folks plus dinner tonight with a friend. I swear I have gained 4 lbs this week with all the eating out I have done.

Our city is doing a new recycle program where they gave us huge buns that look like regular city trash bins. We get to toss anything recyclable in there without having to sort. I am so excited! I like to recycle but before it was such a pita I hardly ever did. Now I can get a smaller trash bin (saving me money) and be environmentally friendly. Yay.

The dogs are full of it this morning. They need some off leash hiking time I think. We haven't done that in a while. But now deer hunting has started which makes it kind of tough.

Those must be some strange looking buns. Stick out tongue

From yesterday, Cathy, cottonwoods are horribly messy. You'll be glad you're having it removed. They are popular here, but I don't like them.

This is my first weekend not working since the end of April. DS asked me what I was going to do. Anything that doesn't involve customer service. Indifferent

Last time Deb left, she left me in charge, and was extremely disappointed that I couldn't come up with drinks, so we'll have to survive. There's no replacing our Deb.

Free huge buns! Sweet! I'm moving to Michigan.

That reminds me of a story from long long ago. A story we will NEVER ever let my mom live down. We (mom, dad, three kids) had gone to the grocery store. I don't remember why, we never all went together. I think we were somewhere and then had to stop at the the store on the way home. Anyway, we were about half way home and suddenly out of nowhere my mom yells, "BUNS!"

Everyone started laughing and was like, wtf? She said, "We forgot buns!" Apparently she was planning on making burgers for dinner and was supposed to get buns at the store. So we had to turn around, go back, and get BUNS!

My poor mom. We still yell, "BUNS!" every time we're together and someone says buns or there are buns near.

Janice, that story is hilarious!  And it reminds me of a bun story of my own.  Years ago, back when VHS tapes were "the thing," I got myself a copy of the video, "Buns of Steel."  I went to work the next day and told my coworker (who was very witty) about how I found the video on sale for only $9.99.  She said, "$9.99?  That's less than 5 bucks a bun!"  Big Smile

Julie, we've had the large bins for curbside recycling for years here, and I love it.  We can put any recyclables in there except glass (we have a smaller bin for that).  Between the huge recycling bin and the yard debris bin (which holds anything that's compostable, food scraps, yard stuff, paper towels, etc.) -- we have very little garbage.  We were able to go to a much smaller bin for that.  And all those curbside services are less than $25/month!

Glenda, I hope you're pleased with the first issue of you new paper.

Tina, I'm sure we'll all cut you some slack about the drinks . . . none of us could possibly fill Deb's bartending shoes.  We'll just have to survive without her.  We may need extra chocolate!

The IT consultant is due here any minute to address the bizarre problems on my PC.  Yay!

The paper is INCREDIBLE!!  With such a great start, it's going to make selling it even easier!

I am so glad today is over.  It started out not too bad and went downhill fast.

The dogs don't care what kind of day I had.  They want to play or eat.  Thank goodness for dogs to keep me reminded of what's important. :)
