Seaside Park, right?? Lordy that is so sad. I am *not* in a great mood this morning anyway *sigh*
Orlando is such a weird place nature-wise -- SO much building all the time and yet there exists so much of nature that has "adapted". A big "avenue" (6 lanes, close to residential, grassy verge in the middle) intersects with an even bigger boulevard on my way to work. One of the biggest intersections in my area. There's been a little dark brown wild bunny I've seen several times on "my" side of the road where it borders a lake. Seen him a couple of times WAY too close to the road. *sigh* .... he won't be doing that again. All that was left was a little tiny bit of that dark brown fur. Yep .. this is me, I cried my way to work.
I love to see the wildlife (and it is SO abundant here even *in* such busy urban areas) but at the same time I hate to see it because you just know they'll wind up road kill. Every time I saw him I kept thinking "Get away from the road you silly thing!"
Sorry - don't mean to be Debbie Downer. At least it's Friday. Hallellujah for that!
