Look, NDR is Back!!! Wed 9-11-13

Remembering those victims, survivors, families, and friends of the 9/11 attacks.

Busy day here. Hot and humid. Thank goodness I have a haircut appt. today.

I thought this post was from the forum peeps. lol  I started another thread before I opened this one.  Wonder if there are any moderators around to join them.

Anyway, like you I'm remembering those lost on this day 12 years ago and their families and loved ones.

Not sure why having a hair appointment makes a hot and humid day better but whatever makes you happy makes me happy. :)

Rainy again this morning.  We're loving it here though we really need much more rain to have any lasting effect.  I love having tile when the dogs get muddy.  Clean up is so much easier than carpet.

Hot & humid = frizzy hair. Hair appt. means someone who has the tools to tame it will be able to make it look better for a day. That = happy me.

    Yes, I'm a simpleton.

Three hours on the street working and I welcomed a chance to come home and sit in front of the fan to scan and email ad corrections to the office.  Man, it is really brutal out there.  Being in the 90's would be bad enough without the darned sky high humidity.  This too shall pass....I hope!  And darned soon.

This is not a day I'd pick for a hair appointment.  Hate getting something done to my hair and then walking outside and having it go wild.  But, hey, whatever makes us happy, right?

OK back out into the cruel heat.  At least the car has AC which is more than I can say about the house!

Ok so while I was playing around with the new site...yesterday I tried to change my avatar and it did change but I cant get it to accept the Pic I changed it to.  Darn, I should have left it alone...any ideas?

After a long time, the forum finally let me on!  At least I think I'm on.  What an ordeal! I realize I need a new computer (this one is 12 years old) but I also need a couple of tires and new glasses so new electronic toys are going to have to go to the bottom of the "must buy" list for awhile.

Our heat wave finally broke.  It feels like it's in the mid to high 60s now so that's a good thing.

Is it just me or does the typing look smaller?

Gin, no idea how to help you with the avatar problem.  Maybe you need to reboot or refresh.  That's what my IT hubby always tells me to do first. lol

Hi Joyce.  The font seems the same size to me but I've got my font increased on my monitor settings.  Glad your heat wave finally broke.

@fuzzy_dogs_mom Wow, you're computer is 12 years old. You remind people like me that not everyone puts getting new tech at the top of their priority list. We are doing what we can to improve performance, but we are limited to the web browsers and computers that are available now and have been for say the last 5-7 years.

Today started really, really well until I walked out the door.

Little Man and M&M got to play in the yard while I attempted to change the tire on the car - ugh.  It was simply too hot.  My tire iron is waaay too short and I couldn't get the 4th lug nut loosed for all the tea in Massachusetts.

I had to resort to calling AAA.  Shamefaced.  Little Man and I practiced his letters and played T-Ball until they showed up and, because I refuse to drive on a donut , we headed straight to the shop.

Little Man was offered an application to work there.  LOL  He is VERY car obsessed.  I got to work two hours late and will have to leave a smidge early for all our stuff this evening.

    Sigh.

Some days work really gets in the way!
