Tracy, I tend to agree with Deb. I don't think most people realize how little a one million dollar winning is after taxes. It would be enough to keep a person who invests wisely comfortable, but let's be honest, how many people who have won a million have statistically been able to do that? As with most people, they blow it all within a few years and end up with bigger problems than they had.

    Congrats Karen! Yes

Good thoughts for your mom, Sharon.

haha yes, i would want it all too. Screw the little people Stick out tongue

Sharon, i hope your mom isn't loosing her job!

Karen, congrats again! That was a quick turn around!

I am being wonderfully productive today. I love checking things off the list!

Thanks everyone.  My mom is not acting like herself.  She just called me to tell me not to call her at 4, that she would call me - and she repeated that a few times.  Not like her at all.  My mom has always been the tough, together type so I'm worried right now.  She said she'd explain everything that's going on at 4pm.  If she doesn't call me by then, I'll hunt her down or just get in my car and drive to Massachusetts (she'll have to forgive me because 1. She loves me and 2. I inherited my stubborness from her).

On a lighter note - the copier machine and I are about to duke it out a few rounds.  Now placing bets to see who the winner will be *laces up her gloves*

My thoughts are with Sharon's Mom. The fear of losing one's job, never mind actually losing it, can be crippling.

    Congrats to Karen!

I have a meeting with Little Man's teacher today because he pretty much flunked the learning assessment they do. He has to be able to identify letters, numbers, colors and comparison words (bigger, the same, smaller etc). My thing is this.... He is four! He doesn't start K until fall of 2014 and he only started learning English 11 months ago. The fact that they did the test in English should mean something.... maybe if they did it in Armenian, well, never mind.

They also think he has some behavior issues and they want to bring in the school district for an official assessment. I'm going to say no. He has been through so much upheaval in the last year that I would be acting out also! I also don't want him labelled with anything before he has a chance to learn English, American culture and Family culture. I may have to educate the whole school on how different his life was before we turned it on it's side.

    Rant over. Thanks for listening.

BTW - Little Man can tell M&M commands and have them listen and learn from him. This helps us all focus on behavior. Thank God for dogs!

I think if your Little Man wasn't acting out a bit, that would be surprising!  He's in a new culture, learning a new language - that's enough to make anyone stressed NEVER MIND A 4 YEAR OLD!  Heck, if I were him at my current age of 31, I'd be pretty darn testy; he's probably handling all the changes with better grace than I could manage.

Sharon: Its a little after 4, so hoping you're hearing from your Mom and that everything is going to be ok.

Also hope those w/ allergy and headache issues get some relief.

31 days till vacation!! That is all :D
