    Bugsy aka "Nessie"

It was a real pretty morning on the lake - I usually share these on FB and I know some here aren't on there so here's a shot from our kayaking

You have NO idea how much I want to be swimming in that lake with the BudMan.

He says he'd love for you to join him - the water is warm and it was super still today

    That looks gorgeous!

See -- we **knew** Nessie was real!! I will have to send this one to David *smile* -- Bugsy -- you'll have to learn words like Haggis. You'd probably REALLY like it!! (it has the word "entrails" in it amongst other words like "oatmeal" and "nutmeg";)

Karen -- didn't know you were so near to Loch Ness!! *grin*

GO Bugsy!  Hooray, look how calm that water is!

I love how much he loves to swim while carrying his bumper.  :)

Callie I know what haggis is and have been there to watch DH consume it Ick! There is no question that Bugsy & DH would be sharing it if we lived over there LOL

Jackie he will ONLY swim with his bumper. I was laughing about it yesterday as we set out.  I have to hurl it as far as possible, he takes off as fast as he can to grab it, he grabs it, looks to me to see if we are heading out or he should bring it to me and do normal retrieves. Last week the rope was in his mouth and I was worried that it could be awkward or choke him so I got up next to him to fix it and when I put my hand on HIS bumper he yanked his head away from me LOL. I tried again and he did the same. No way, no how anyone is getting his bumper until he's on land again. Go figure

I'm thinking the one mile retrieve might be a record Stick out tongue

Sandie yesterday was as still as I've ever seen it on a cool, dryish morning. It can be very still on hot, humid, stagnant days. (<= sorry for stating the obvious LOL)

I think you could be right!  :)  He wants that bumper available at all times so must carry it with him as his human companion may lose track of it.  lol   I know it's really just one of his quirks about carrying stuff around when he's happy.  So good to see him swimming and enjoying life after the long ordeal with the shoulder.

Karen, you've got to submit some of these lake photos to Orvis or LLBean.  They are catalogue worthy shots!

Bugs, you're the handsome-est Loch Ness monster ever!

Indeed it is but I get the impression this is his job. He's always been one to take his jobs seriously, shrugs, who knows. It works and its no harm to let him swim with the bumper

Seriously. Dogs are so resilient and I am very fortunate to have a very happy boy to bring joy to my life daily.

Thanks Deb, he's a sweet boy and deserves to be happy and crazy.

Tracy, Embarrassed, I am not sure that most people will enjoy them. I enjoy them because each time is a special moment for me and B. We'll never have those times when he's snuggled up to me so these have to do.
