We looked at this house the other day and altho I love it but it's higher than we wanted to pay. DH thinks we should make an offer and being the worry-wart, I'm terrified they'll accept it

Just let me know when you are moving in - B and I will head that way for a holiday :)

    Looks gorgeous!!

Not unsurprising but I have found 5 ticks walking around on either myself or B since returning from the fields. I sprayed both of us with some all natural bug spray. Perhaps it attracts them rather than repels them?

Still haven't finished cleaning inside but got disgusted by the state of the garage and started cleaning that

Happy Mother's Day!! However many 'feets' your chillun's got!! *smile*

I'm having to use Chrome - I can't log in **at all** with Internet Explorer. *sigh*

I called my Mom -- they went out for a nice dinner but she's bummed they are going to get SNOW on Mother's Day (I'm sorry -- even for NY that is just plain WRONG!). She's still not in a good place mentally at all after being sick -- I feel bad both for her and Pa (he's not coping well with all her even-worse-than-normal-negativity).

Hoping I can go back to work tomorrow. I SO need to get back to work before the boss has a meltdown of the permanent kind.

    Wow, gorgeous house, Cathy!!

We woke up so snow here, too. Sleep I'm definitely very tired of it.

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there. I got to sleep in until 9:30, which hasn't happened in a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time. Sure felt good! I also took a bath today with an EffOff bath bomb while DH took the kids to bring a card to his mom. Aaahhh.

DH asked me what I wanted to do today. I laughed, and said, "Depends on how much you want to spend on me." hehe. I asked him for garden fencing, since I just have been rigging it and fixing it every year. I want to just get it done right. But now I need to get my plans ironed out so I know how much I need. I'd like to do a couple of 4x4 raised beds, plus room for sugar snap peas and possibly corn.

    Maureen, glad you're feeling better.

Tracy, I really admire anyone who can make a box of chocolates last for weeks.  It would probably last me the weekend ... maybe.

I came out this morning to find a gorgeous bouquet of flowers on the kitchen table, and the kitchen was immaculate.  I don't know how DS #2 manages to get things like that done without me knowing he's doing them.

The "two buck chuck' at Trader Joe's is now "two & a half buck chuck". Sad I guess that's still not too bad for a fairly decent bottle of wine.

Karen I agree about the COPD. They just seem to throw it out there. I know 2 older ladies who have it and they are on oxygen all of the time. I think this doctor just looked at all my meds without realizing the take as needed could have weeks and even months in between. I also run dog agility, hike and never walk slow. Have 2 sets of stairs in our house I'm up and down several times a day. My deal is mostly, my opinion anyway, that things may start from allergies or sinus infection and because I have so many allergies, dogs and cats among them, one complicates the other. Glad to hear Bugsy perked up. Was starting to get nervous as I was reading your post. Good dog Piper for being so gentle with the little bird. Had some other things to comment on but nurse interrupted me and my feeble little brain forgot. Oh Callie glad to hear you are starting to feel better. Pain sucks We had a horribly sad, sad tragic accident that happened to a dog in our agility circle. The dog was running with buddies and ran into a tree and died. Only 4 years old. Who would ever think of something like that happening. Just awful.I don't remember the dog but have probably seen it at trials. Don't really know the owner other than she's always cheerful with everyone.

Glad you are feeling better already! Hopefully the hospital stay will act as a nice break :)

A sar teammates dog was diagnosed with wobblers recently. He is only 2 :( I don't know much about that disease other than it usually doesn't show up until 5 or older in dobes. Showing up at 2 can't be good. He is a rescue too so there was no way of knowing. Fantastic dog. His personality is what all dobes should be. He ison ststeroids and the handler tried to wean him off but he spiraled which seems like a really bad sign to me. Very sad.

Julie - that is sad :(. I know Amanda knows a lot about this. You might want to contact her for more info.

Maureen, glad you're feeling better. I know all too much about the allergies spiraling into other stuff crap, cause I think that's where I am right now. I'm allergic to the animals too.

I'm giving strong debates to trying to go to the doctor tomorrow. I realized I've had this off and on cough so hard I puke, or nearly puke, thing going on for a few weeks.  I didn't really realize that on Friday at the allergy doctor. Just that it was particularly bad then. I should have taken something earlier that would put me to sleep, but now it's too late, and if I take it I'll miss getting up early enough to call the doctor if I decide I still want to go. I think I'll stay on the couch again tonight, in lieu of taking my laundry off my bed, and in order to be more upright.

I've never heard of a dog running into a tree and dying. I can't believe that. Crying

I can't remember what else I meant to comment on.

Maureen, I am glad to hear you're on the mend! I, too, think you're right about COPD diagnosis (as one who lives with a person on oxygen all the time). It seems like it's a "catch all" diagnosis. That's horrible about the dog running into the tree. What a tragedy!

I know nothing about Wobblers except what I've read here by Amanda, but send out lots of prayers for some answers.
