Ruby and her Gotcha Day Toy! (tacran)

Well, it was a bit hard to get decent photos since she wouldn't stay still very long once we gave it to her, but here are a couple. In the second one, her eyes look like she's a zombie. I'm sure it was photographer error -- I was using DH's phone to take the pics and have no idea how to change the settings on it. There's a squeaker in each wing; hopefully she won't try to chew them out right away. Fabric style toys don't hold up for long with her!

I also made her some special liver treats, which she LOVED -- but now we're going to bed and the house smells like liver. Not exactly conducive to restful slumber!

Second have fun with that awesome toy! You are super, duper lucky and I agree that it isn't surprising that you didn't want to have to wait!!

Definitely a gift worth waiting for, Ruby (but I still think you should pack your bags and hightail it to Jersey).

Tina, I'm so glad you said what the toy is . . . I knew that's what it was called, but had no idea how to spell it, so rather than taking the time to look it up, I just avoided describing it!

Janice, I don't know if she had dreams of liver, but I woke up thinking about onions, for some reason! Wink

Deb, if we weren't so far away, we'd arrange to come by for a visit -- Ruby would love to meet you and Jamison!

Happy birthday, Ruby! Waiting for the toy is just too much to ask sometimes :-) Liver treats and a big new toy--that makes for a great day!

Happy Birthday Ruby, your a beautiful girl. I almost named Ava Ruby. That is a really neat toy, no wonder she loves it. Kissy's from Ava for Ruby for her Birthday.

Ruby, that toy was worth waiting for and Tracy, I can see why you wanted to wait to give it to her.

What an adorable dog Ruby is and I too would like to steal her. :) She sure hit the jackpot when she adopted you guys.

Thanks, ladies!

I don't know if Ruby hit the jackpot with us -- but being a dog in our house is a pretty comfy life. We aren't the most committed obedience trainers, and we're a bit lazy for a super-active dog, but we know how to spoil a dog with the tastiest treats, the softest beds and blankets, lots of toys, daily massages -- it's like being at a spa.

But believe me, she would LOVE living at Bugsy's house with really fun stuff like kayaking, hiking in the woods, swimming, scent/tracking activities, etc. Karen, think you'd be interested in hosting a summer camp? We'd be willing to pay a fee for Ruby to attend for a week!
