Have fun at the beach! It's rainy but warm here today. Not much else to report so far.

Omg, the beach. I can't imagine. Oh wait, yes I can, I have a lake in my back yard from all the rain, my deck could be considered a beach ;p have fun Jackie and family!

    Zzzzz I. Am. Tired.

I got a cut/ fat lip playing with lily last night. No smiling for me today.

Abbie and I had training last night. I hope this gets us somewhere. I need to be religious about working on the stuff we have been assigned, mat work, relaxation, turn away cues, etc. I also need to work on training lily to be quiet in her crate while I work with abbie. Lily needs some manner lessons.

My words exactly! Have fun Jackie! Well Riley has decided she didn't like the original costume we picked out for Halloween and now wants to be a cat. Normally I would say too bad, but she really didn't have a say in the initial decision - soooo I am off to find a black hoodie, stretch pants, fur, and ears. Big football game today which means I will have misc. people roaming through my house watching the game. Charlie will be happy though, that usually means more food dropped on the floor.

Yea Charlie, Bugsy loves a party too!

    have fun Jackie!!

Hmmm well I am just back from the lake with the furry fish, sort of a beach trip LOL He was completely nuts down there, lots of people, many cooing at him, a few other dogs, a bunch of skulls on the lake shouting instructions = pure chaos.  I was really getting irritated with his lack of focus. He had enough energy to come home and do zoomies in the house. Concernedly I don't know where he is right now

Its a pretty Fall day here, I wish I had something excited and different to do, but alas I don't

    Have an awesome day!

    Have fun Jackie!!

Brrrrrr...it's chilly this morning. DH turned on the whole house fan and I felt like I needed a sweatshirt and socks. Today will be in the mid 70s and sunny but this might be the last nice day for awhile.

I was going to take Shane to a picnic/camping area on the lake near here. It's a nice area for hiking around and I thought he'd like it. Fortunately I decided to check on what the day use fee is. It was $5 just a few months ago but I'd heard it was going up. It's now $12!! Since we probably wouldn't spend more than an hour or so there, that'd be ridiculous.

DH left for a long bike ride and I need to get some cleaning done. I hope everyone has a great Saturday.

I'm so jealous of you southerners with warm weather

We have some whacko between my home and a suburb of detroit randomly shooting at people in cars. That is kind of freaky. There were 15 reported shootings between thurs and fri. So far nobody has been hurt but it is only a matter of time. About a week ago, one of my teammates had someone pull up next to her on the freeway and point a gun at her. He then pulled behind her and started following her. she drove to the police stn and made a report. That guy was black though and the other shootings are being done by a white male. Still. Makes me not want to drive to novi tomorrow! (Near a few of the shootings)

Pretty fall day here.  Chilly but dry.  Yesterday was hellish.  After I did the 4 hour job fair for the boss I had to do all my Friday stuff plus stop by the printer for some copies for an event tommorow that I want to hit.  It poured all afternoon.  the hat was soaked through, the rain coat the same and I was sooooo soggy!  Oh, and then on top of all the other stuff I had done, I had to go sell an ad to a call in.  Just made for a very long and wet day.

But, today is pretty.  I can hang laundry outside and I think I'm just going to enjoy the day.

Hope everyone else has a great one!

Yikes Julie!!! I'd be concerned too!

Its not very warm here Julie - it was low 40's overnight but the sun is still very warm. I dressed for the cold temp to go on the lake but once I was in the sun I had to take my jacket off. That is what I totally love about this area - all winter the sun remains warm. Of course it nearly bakes you June-August Tongue Tied

We have a local chain (they have several shops across the state) that is like REI. I discovered that they have info on their website on recommended hikes & paddles near all their shops. They have some amazing trips that I didn't know about!! Very exciting news!!

Luke's team for tomorrow is in races 4, 8, 12, and 16. We're the only team with conveniently numbered races like that. He's running with another team. The team we're actually on is in 3, 10, 14, and 20.

We went out this morning and got some pumpkins. We've got red and blue hubbards for pies, which we've never had before. The guy at the farm said those were good, and what his family uses. We were going to take my niece on a hayride, but none of them start until 11, so we just went to the farm where we usually get our pumpkins, and she got to push a little shopping cart around with her pumpkin instead, which seemed pretty good to her.

My mom puts mindless kiddie shows on tv constantly when my niece is here. Right now, Busy Town is on. The pigs drive a car that is either a sausage or a hot dog. That's so wrong.

The Beach!....so jealous I am. Actually, it isn't too bad a day here. It's near 60 degrees.....not bad as long as it doesn't rain. It has rained some and more is predicted but only 40% chance. Hoping it doesn't rain tonight, as I'm going to a bluegrass concert in Oswego, which is about 20 minutes to a half hour drive, and I hate driving in the rain at night. Excited about the concert, as the two original members are people I know. I've wanted to see them and just never had the chance before. The one fellow I graduated with.

Had to take our boy Gus to the vets. Had him there the other day for his annual and I mentioned he'd been itching. She checked him over and nothing looked too bad. I should have trusted myself and had her put him on pred right then. I however decided, at vet's suggestion, to do the benadryl more often than I had been....told me to try 3 times a day. Well last night all hell broke loose and the poor boy started digging crazy. Almost took him in on an emergency visit. I bathed the area with a bit of oatmeal shampoo which helped some. He finally slept and so I waited until this morning. He is now on pred and antibiotics. Hopefully he will start feeling better soon and hopefully the pred won't bother him too bad, as far as the drinking and needing to pee so often.

I think I need to get to Home Depot for a couple of good sized tarps.  It's definitely time to start covering up and packing up the patio stuff, especially since they said a nice rain is in the near future.

There was a bit of excitement in the 'hood Thursday night.  From about 11:30 p.m. until around 1:00 a.m. there were search helicopters and police cars with bullhorns riding around.  Apparently a 14 year old autistic, non-verbal boy disappeared, but was found safely and a lot of neighbors came out and joined in the search.

Glad they found the kid safely. I hope his parents had id of some sort on him. This is definitely one of the things that terrifies me for some kids I work with. They have no id on them, and they cannot or would not give their info to someone if they needed help. If someone were around of course.

Right now, I am hoping I am not sick. I went out for dinner with a friend, and we got milkshakes afterward. I live about 20 minutes from where we were at. I made it half way before I had to pull in somewhere. At least I did make it to the shopping center, and didn't puke on or in my car. I'm hoping the issue was dairy+congestion, and I am not actually sick. Not today, not tomorrow. Not when Luke might get a chance for his flyball debut. This cannot happen. He is going, unless I am puking in the ring. If I am, the instructor from our class is coming to see him. She has never run him, but she would know how to run him, and he would be fine with her. He'd actually probably be fine for anyone, as long as I wasn't in sight. She would know exactly what I do with him though. But, I am taking him in there, I just won't eat between now and the end of the races, except for maybe some ginger.
