    Christmas Cards-JackieG

I was thinking it would be great to buy cards for the holiday card swap from a non profit group that helps dogs.  Anyone know of a legit group selling cards?

Check out your local HS or shelter, maybe a rescue.  Many of them do stuff like that and that way your $$ stays in your area helping animals there.

I was going to make the same suggestion as Glenda did.

Our local shelter sells greeting cards in their shop, and they always have fun holiday selections.   They're usually sold individually, but back when I was on top of my Christmas card process (not so organized in recent years Embarrassed), they were able to order me cards in boxes of 10 or 12.  Sure, I could've found boxed cards cheaper elsewhere, but the proceeds from that shop go directly to the shelter.  And the cards were really cute (dog-themed, of course)!

I tried looking at local shelter sites and didn't find anything offered.  I'm still looking. :)

Bunch of sites came up with my Google search:

     https://www.google.com/search?q=dog+rescue+holiday+cards&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a

Also, if you favor a specific breed, you can search using that: dachshund rescue holiday cards etc. see if there are any hits.

Homeward Bound has a whole line of cards, and the photos are of actual dogs that have been rescued. I would think there should be other largish rescue groups that do something similar.

I did see a lot of those sites, Freedom, thanks.  Cathy, I saw quite a few large rescues selling cards featuring dogs they'd helped but I was hoping to find something more generic as far as breed. Those cards homeward bound are selling are so sweet. :) Every breed I see featured is so adorable I couldn't choose just one but maybe I won't choose just one. :)

I did find some cards for sale by the South Texas Guide Dogs and as far as I know they've got a good rep.

I'm sort of skeptical about many groups claiming to be rescues, etc. Knowing someone who has some connection or knowledge of a specific group makes me feel more comfortable.
