What others say about your dog.

Most people comment on how pretty Shane is and then seem embarrassed when they find out he's a boy. I tell them he doesn't mind being called pretty one bit. He can be vocal though when he first meets someone and/or they're not focusing completely on him. I think it bothers me more than other people and we're working on it...still. I've also had quite a few people mention that he looks thin. All 3 vets say his weight is perfect though and that's the only thing that matters to me. I also prefer a dog on the leaner side and especially one with heart problems like he has.Big Smile

With Dusty we get a lot of "Is she a puppy?" because she looks small.  They are always surprised when we tell them she's almost 8.  Also get a lot of "wow, she's skinny!" which I take not to mean they think she's too thin, but shock b/c most of the beagles around here are WAY over weight.

Co-Co and Blaze both get a lot of compliments on how they look.

Co-Co gets called jealous a lot, b/c she always butts in if someone else is getting attention.

It seems like all of you guys have great dogs! So many people compliment them! Congrats to all! Big Smile

Murphy usually gets pegged pretty quick. He is a big DOPE!  You can tell by the way he hops around like a giant rabbit when he is playing with a tennis ball. Or when he licks you with that mile-long tounge. He has also been called Obedient. Which he really is. He aims to please with everything he does. We were blessed with a great dog who is so easy to train and loves making new friends.

Maynard is often misunderstood by my friends and family, who have all only ever had big dogs. They always say what a GOOD Little dog he is. They say this only because we have worked every single day on the barking (that so many little dogs love). While he has mastered controlled barking and potty training, he really struggles with everything else (even though we work on these behaviors too, daily). Chewing, running off, eating cow poop, humping, leash walking issues, and otherwise being totally embarrasing in public. We love him anyway. I dont correct them when they go on and on about what a good boy he is just because he is quiet. Wink I just sit back and let them love thier first little dog of the group. We will get there someday with all the at-home behaviors. They dont need to know. Still if I had to choose one word for Maynard, it would be TURD!

Ari is the neighborhood spaz, who is also cute :)  And it is true.  We've done a lousy job training her to not jump on people, so I can readily admit to that.  She does however make people laugh when they see her and her antics.
