Brrr! I am extremely jealous of Lisa right now. Abbies leg seems to be less gimpy today but it is hard to tell because everytime she stops moving she lays down. She must be in some pain but I am holding off on giving her anything because I want her to stay immobile for the most part. Today I am going to do some serious house cleaning. I need to google how to use the hose attachment to my carpet cleaner. It would be nice to clean my blinds and furniture. This weather has me thinking of cider mills.

It's a slow gentle rain kind of morning. Very nice to wake up to. :) We had a great time last night at the Vince Gill concert. He's such a talented musician and also told some funny and moving stories about his family. He told a funny story about a very old couple at one of his concerts.

More cleaning for me today and hopefully some football watching

My boys are still unhappy with the move of furniture in the TV room; I expected this from DH but Bugsy is cracking me up.

Karen - are you going to do the MRI on Bugsy?

I took Shane out to go potty around 6 AM and couldn't believe how cold it was. I need to run the whole house fan for a bit and cool the house and attic down before it starts heating up again.

I have a meeting out at HB this afternoon. I think I'll take Shane and he can play in one of the yards during the meeting if it's not too hot.

Brisk cool morning-time to run Pipers little legs off at the WMA. Last time out, she found two pheasants. The rooster cackled nicely when it jumped. Makes Pipers day complete.

Karen - are you going to do the MRI on Bugsy?

I am going to call and see him and find out what we are looking for/what body part we are focused on. From previous conversations I understand that if it is a potential neck issue the MRI is really the only way to truly see what is happening. I suppose it also depends on how it will impact treatment; if NSAIDS and rest is the tx regardless of what we find or if we are looking to see if there is something that can be done to correct the problem. So I'll make the decision once I have a much more complete picture.

Cathy I had a good chuckle this morning, in contrast to your story of Shane with the wild turkey, I offer this: Bugsy was sound asleep in our sunroom, suddenly he popped up and went on point, I looked and looked and finally saw a hawk on the ground under some trees that border our property, about 80ft from where he was LOL He remained on point, waiting to be released for a good while..........until the hawk moved on Smile

I can only dream of having eyesight as good as some of our dogs do. Geeked

When Sassy was having what we thought was neck problems, an MRI was the only way to find out but as you said, knowing wouldn't have necessarily helped much. Had it continued or gotten worse, we might not have had a choice but with her, it seemed to come and go infrequently. It's so hard not knowing for sure though, so I hope you're able to get some information that will help with your decision.

Boring day it is. I started on my all fruit and veggie diet so far so good but oh how I'm craving for chocolate and chips my two worse enemies lol I'm gonna try a whole week this time last time I did 5 days. Hope all are having a great day. Another note I get a new guest my sister's dog Miley :/ she'll be here until my sister gets her house which I hope it's very soon,she's buying a house.

DH had music practice this morning so I took the kids and Rupert hiking. We went to a short trail near my dad's house. I'd say the trail is maybe a half mile? It ends at a small lake. We hiked in and out twice. The kids had lots of fun. We live in the woods but there are a lot of pine trees. The woods out there have so much hardwood. It's so beautiful. And so "homey." I loved exploring those woods when I was younger. There is also a cross country ski trail system out there that I liked getting lost on in the summer. Smile

Then we got home and my mom called asking if we wanted to go out to lunch. Oh yes please! Big Smile The kids acted mostly decently so that was nice.

Saw Vince Gill several years ago and really enjoyed his concert just as you have.

This nice rain has lasted all day and will probably last a few more hours from the looks of the weather radar. This is such a good time to get these rains. The wildlife will benefit from all the winter forbs that will thrive from this rain. The pastures will be in good shape for the cattle. I'm thrilled that despite all the water and mud, I don't worry about four dogs going in and out. I love my tile. :)

I've had a pretty lazy day. I did some grocery shopping and went to Target for some throw rugs but didn't find anything I wanted. I've been doing laundry, cleaned the bathrooms and took a nap. There is nothing so nice as napping while it rains.

A friend has been seeing wild turkeys on his rural property. This is something he hasn't seen in many years and he is very excited to have them. He sternly warned the guys who come out to hunt doves not to disturb his turkeys. lol I was amazed to hear that he was able to call his bird crazy Weim off them the other day.

Gorgeous weather here today. Mowed the lawn and did a bit of laundry. The dogs got nice walks and then I got a nap :-) We're having perfect sleeping weather--nice and cool at night. I love it!

I hope Bugsy and Abbie are feeling better. And, Karen, I hope you can figure out if it is the toe or something else.
