How dumb can anyone be? A local firefighter was arrested for DUI at 10 am...driving a fire truck to give a safety presentation to a church preschool! Just happens to be my church and the school where my grandkids go....

wow...addiction really does make people stupid tho. They get into this little world where the addiction is a secret...but only they think that. Usually they have no idea you can see them weaving on their feet, eyes bloodshot or smell it on them. Or see the picking at their face or trembling because they need a fix. Its really very sad...people are capable of great deceptions...but when you are only fooling yourself it cannot be long before it all comes crashing down.

Amen to that!!

I got an email from Homeward Bound asking if I wanted to bring Shane for a TV segment on one of local station's morning shows on Tuesday. It's to promote the big fundraiser, Kibble and Bids, coming up in 2 weeks. Of course I said "yes" and then got nervous. There will be a few other goldens and owners there and we don't have to do anything but stand there with our dogs. I guess that means I won't get hair and make-up? ;)

THE LONG ISLAND ICED TEA

Ingredients :
• ½ oz Vodka
• ½ oz Tequila
• ½ oz Light Rum
• ½ oz Gin
• 1 Dash Coca-Cola
• Twist of Lemon Peel (or Lime)

Directions :
1. Mix all contents in a highball glass and stir gently
2. Add dash of Coca-Cola for the coloring and garnish with lemon or lime twist

For 1 drink

Bad bad fuzzy memories. :) Since we're having the moustache talk, I got my brows/lip waxed on Wednesday and she asked if I also wanted my chin done. Not a good sign when they ask so I agreed. Its actually the lower lip area and chin. OW! Thats virgin territory.
