How did it get to bed sunday already? I would like Saturday back please. Itch itch itch scratch scratch scratch. That is poor lily today. I have training today and have no idea where I am going or how long it will take to get there. I just know it is east of flint somewhere. This should make for an interesting day. It is time to unpack the fall / winter clothes again and prob put away the shorts. Brr.

Julie, sorry your summer weather is almost over.  We had a nice cool front move in and it feels fantastic outside this morning. I was sitting outside drinking coffee enjoying the dry cool weather and listening to the birds wake up.  It's so interesting how different weather patterns evoke different feelings depending on where you live.  Sorry about itchy Lily.  Feed her some raw food and she'll be cured. lol

We got the garage cleared out enough to hold the bigger furniture.  The tile installation got moved up a week and they start on Tuesday.  Today I need to clean up my computer desk (big ugly thing, I'd love to replace) and also a big buffet that's full of useless stuff.  I would love to get rid of that too.  It belonged to my mom and I'm sort of attached to it but don't really like it.

We're off to the farmer's market at some point this morning.  I'm drooling thinking of the crepes one vendor makes on site.  She makes these fantastic savory crepes with spinach, cheese and  I forget what else but they are ridiculously good.  We haven't been to this market in almost a month and when I see the gal who runs it she always says "you've been cheating on me at that other market!".  lol

Dove season opened last weekend in our area.  Rex got one yesterday probably off the bird bath.  Ate half and puked it up later in the house.

Just tackled the kitchen--just need to finish mopping the floor. It's nice and cool out, so both dogs are happy! Laundry in a bit. I have to take Mom and Dad's frig off island to be repaired (2 months out of warrenty---grrrrrrrrr), so we'll get that loaded onto the truck later today.

Lily, I hope you feel better soon. Sinbad is itchy now, too--a grass that goes to seed in late summer/early fall just makes him miserable!

Jackie, good luck with the project!!

Hugs for all who need them.

    Yep!! Wink

Jackie - I'm super excited for you getting all new tile. What color did you end up going with?

It's a gorgeous morning here too and should only reach the mid 80s today.Between the regular bird feeder and the finch feeder, we get a of beautiful birds and some of the song birds sound so sweet.

DH just left for work and I need to take Shane for a walk but I want to go somewhere new vs. just walking around the neighborhood. I get bored and I'm betting he does too. I have a little cleaning to do but most of today and tomorrow is free to have fun.

LOL Jackie why didn't I think of that!

Rex you are not supposed to puke up birds in the house, didn't your mom teach you anything?

always have the answers don't you??

    Rex - blech!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glad to be home and to get into our normal regime. Bugsy is as heavy as I've ever seen him and unfortunately he still has the weird limp Crying We did do a couple of miles on our walk today and he was thrilled but very serious about inspecting the 'hood. He was berserk when we came home last night, I mean I knew he'd be extremely excited but it was nuts. The fact it was a severe storm no doubt had already had his anxiety up and then we came home. Zowie just zowie. He's more settled this morning but has broken out in mini-zoomies several times.

Yesterday sometime someone hit our mailbox - our cast iron (or whatever it is) $500 1 yr old mailbox and we'll have to replace it. Apparently two neighbors had a garage sale yesterday and it was busy in the cul de sac. Mom didn't see it get hit but said it was easy to imagine as busy as our cul de sac was, pretty darn peeved about it. Hope the *** severely damaged their vehicle in the process! Angry

I need to go buy some cleansing, light foods for us and a case of no-salt green beans for fat boy! My mom gave him almost an entire box of biscuits as well as other treats and some of her food. I am OK about the treats - but I explicitly said NO human food other than plain veggies or lean meat.  Whatever, he's in better shape than if he had been kenneled!

I am READY for some football!

I am NOT putting away the shorts yet.  I did put on capri jeans today since it certainly IS much cooler.

Yesterday started off hot and humid, then rainy and humid then almost sunny before going to tropical humidity again.  Then the cold front came in with cool dry air and whamo!  We had a rather spectacular storm and I dumped more than 4 inches of water out of the wheelbarrow and the 5 gallon bucket that gets lined and used for poop patrol.  And today is delightful! The temp is 65 which feels absolutely heavenly!

Hope everyone is enjoying their day....and Julie?  Yeah, I want a do over on Saturday too!

Karen - Shane goes nutso when I'm gone for 2 hours and come back home, so I can imagine how crazed Bugsy was to see you guys. I also sympathize with the mailbox. We used to have a lot of those types of problems in our cul de sac too. Many lazy, bad drivers trying to do 3 point turns and using our lawn for some of it. We ended up putting some large, decorative rocks along the edge of the lawn and it solved the problem.

I took Shane to one of our favorite places to walk and he really enjoyed it. It's quiet, pretty and perfect for letting him just sniff everything for as long as he wants. I saw a plant that I loved and wish I'd had my phone to take a picture. It looked like a spider plant but had these pretty lavender-like flowers coming out the top. Anyone have any ideas what it could be?

Ouch...I'm a raw feeder with an allergy dog... we state quite clearly that raw food is not the magic cure but it does help...  maybe I'm touchy this morning but that kinda rubbed me the wrong way..

Need to tear apart my bedroom today.. I'm allergic to something in here and have no idea what.. So massive loads of laundry, vacuuming and scrubbing on my list of things to do today....

ETA: I apologize Jackie. I got curious and went through the nutrition section.  I see where this came from.  I will remove my foot from my mouth and finish my coffee before posting. Again, sorry..

No worries, Amber. :)  I'm not in the least opposed to feeding a raw diet.  I would if I had room to store the amount I would need and I admit I find it easier to feed kibble to make sure they get what they need.  Mine get the occasional chicken wings and meaty bones.  I didn't even think about people taking my post wrong but I can see how easy that could happen.  Sorry to be so cryptic but glad you saw what I was referring to.

Grrrr... Sorta. I ordered a pair of capris off of ebay and they came Friday. They're not capris, but full length jeans. They're seriously comfy though so I guess its a win win. Thing is my jeans drawer has reached max. capacity actually all my drawers have.

    ETA: Did I misspell length?
