Wednesday Chatting

Riley looks so cute all ready for her first day of school.  Looks like Kermit will be helping her today. :)   I bet that first bus ride is pretty exciting to a kid her age.  We walked to school (yeah, uphill, through the snow, etc lol)  and I always wanted to ride the bus.  When I did finally get to ride it was in junior high (now called middle school) and I was not quite as excited. lol

My truck will be ready today!  Tracy, I'm not usually a fan of dealerships either but since this was a warranty situation I had no choice.  Our regular mechanic would have had me in and out in a day or two, at the most.  Anyway it's ready and I can't wait to have my wheels back.

I think I'll keep the dump truck for another few days so we can all have our authentic pizza and beer.  Big Smile

Oh Riley! So grown up, I hope her first day was fabulous!

Thank goodness all wedding attendees are in captivity at the resort because it's the most disorganized function you could imagine. I just had to find the bride at the salon to find out when DH aka the father of the bride needed to meet her and where. Really folks??

The wedding is in a large gazebo and then the reception is outside in full sun, no shade in sight, hopefully no one will pass out from heat stroke/ exhaustion.

Good news about your truck Jackie

Oh Lisa, she's a beauty.  I can already see daddy with his shot gun scaring the young varmints off!

    Is it Friday yet?

Tracy, yeah the alarm is one of those that gradually gets brighter, to simulate the sun coming up. Then once it is at full brightness birds start chirping (you can select fm radio or windchimes too). The true test will be once winter hits but this morning it was a really nice way to wake up. I woke up pretty much right as the light hit full brightness. I think this was a really good purchase. I need all the help I can get to wake up on the right foot every morning (I am a horrible morning person)

Maybe I need one of those things. I tend to hit the snooze a ton of times, and sometimes I get mad at the clock.  I've talked to it before and said nasty things to the stupid clock.

Sounds like the three of us are from the same "Non Morning People Family Tree."  After hearing your description of the clock, Julie, I think I'll put that on my Christmas list.  I didn't know that a sound followed the light.  My concern was that I wouldn't wake up from the light alone, but I love the idea of having 3 other sound choices!

My natural energy pattern barely registers in the mornings (and I don't drink coffee or other caffeine beverages, so I am truly in a fog).  Even as a kid, I had to be dragged out of bed practically.  Add in the months of darker skies here, and it's a recipe for disaster.  It's a good thing I don't have to be at work until 9am.  My FIL used to say there's no such thing as a "morning person" or a "night person."  He said you just have to decide you'll get up when the alarm rings and face the day, your attitude was your choice, etc..  I respectfully, but firmly, disagreed with him every time he said it!
