New to the group - dog lover/pet blogger

Hi my name is Rosemary Jean-Louis. I'm the very happy pet parent of Bijou, a chihuahua mix. He's an amazing dog because he's so calm and collected. Hold Bijou for a few minutes and your stress will melt away. He loves coming to work with me - I'm fortunate to have a dog friendly workplace.

He inspired me to start a dog blog at my job at Georgia Public Broadcasting. Bijou in one of his favorite spots - a bed and underneath blankets.

It's called Tails of the City. Definitely check it out and share any ideas you have for stories with me.

Welcome! I'm fairly new here too. I'm expecting a puppy here in about 9 days.. This place is great and everyone is super friendly.

Good luck with the new puppy. Did you get him or her yet? What kind of puppy is it and why did you choose that one? This is definitely a nice forum to go too and chat about dogs.

Not Yet, He'll be here Friday! I got an Australian Shepherd. I'm a very active person, plan on having him as a running partner, hiking, swimming, and theraphy work. They are very people oriented dogs who can go forever! Plus I've had one before and was definitely one of my favorite dogs I've ever had. I'm there if you look there are pictures I've posted here in some of the forums :D

Ah I see. What is the difference between and Australian shepherd and German shepherd? I guess I'm more of a little dog type person.
