Heidi on a walk and down here after the walk on her 2nd birthday August 16th.Hard to believe my little girl is 2 already.She has been a great pal and she is a smart one,I can spell drink,walk or treat and ask if she is hungry,she knows what it means and she know everything Mom and both say to her.On this walk,we did not see any pals,too early,around 7:30,will be a lot to see come September 4th when kids are back to school here,A big dog barked at us as we by it s house and close to home Heidi wanted to greet the owner of a Border Collie,she got a few pets out of that.On Thursday,Heidi and I were down here,she heard a noise upstairs,I didn't and it turned out was the mail carrier next door,wasn't here yet and when they were here Heidi was up on her tiptoes looking out the door then to the front window and she looked from the chair then back to the door on her tippy toes again.It has been just Heidi and I this weekend,Mom went with Marlene to their cottage in Haliburton,joining them later were her daughter Shannon her kids Brandyn 11 and Samantha 7 along with their Black Lab Buster,my sister's husband Larry came later from work.Heidi lost her best friend on July 17thy when Marlene had to have Taffy put down she was 15.Taffy was deaf,blind,had arthritis,back end was giving out and was falling down so her daughter Shannon went with her to the vets,it it was Shannon and her former husband had bought Taffy as a gift for Marlene in December of 1996,Marlene,didn't want a dog but go used to her and loved her for 15 years.Marlene and Larry took it hard,Marlene felt guilty about having her put down and wondered if it was the right thing to do,it was Taffy was not going to get better and it was for the best.As far as I know,they are not getting another dog.Heiid right now having a snoozing,just let out a loud snort.
