    Ladies Hygene Dog

I work at a vet's office at the front desk. I recieved a call this morning about a dog who has never been into us before. The poor thing ate almost a whole box of 48 un-opened T.P.'s. Not the plastic part, just the cotton. The dog was about 60 lbs and 2 yrs old.  We had no room on our schedule for today unless they opted for the emergency app (expensive) so unfortunately, I have no update on her comdition. I hope the best for her though! Man, every day I worry more and more about what my boys are doing while I am at work. You never know what they will decide is a gormet treat!

Dogs do eat the strangest things.  Hope that dog is ok.  One of my closest friends has worked in vet clincs for many many years.  The stories she tells me about dogs and their owners are pretty incredible sometimes.  When I have a dog who has the slightest tendency to eat things they shouldn't, I crate them while I'm gone.  Right now that only applies to one of my dogs, thank goodness. :)

If Tootsie was the slightest bit curious of what the unknown tastes like I'd definitely crate her.

That is a new one!  Gee, and I thought having a dog pick one up and happily carry it out to a gathering of my friends was bad . . . .  embarrassing, but not a health issue!  Sure hope that dog ends up alright.

I'd have thought a quick dose of apomorphine would do the trick, assuming the dog had eaten it relatively close before.

I do hope they found someone to help them fairly quickly, that quantity of absorbant material seems like it would scream obstruction as it's just going to suck up all of the fluid and not allow things to pass on through :(

I thought that immediately - hoping that dog is OK

I got the call at 9:30 in the morning, the owner said she had eaten them the night before. I urged her to come in that day as soon as possible.I was also mostly concerned about the absorbtion and blockage. Our appointment fee was too much apparently, so she decided to call elsewhere and I have had no update. I also can only hope she is ok.
