Tina, I love that quote.  Thanks.

Karen, I had to snicker when you said your DH had to take a cold shower.  How dare him taunt you with the cooler weather. :)

Julie and Deb, I hope you both can get your medical/dental stuff taken care of quick.

Steph, I feel that way sometimes when I have to attend something and don't know anyone.  Like you, I always dread it and want to cancel but end up enjoying myself.  Have fun and I suggest drinking to alleviate the stress but not so much that you make a fool of yourself.  Been there a few times. lol

Callie, all the dogs have been on grain free diet for years.  I do appreciate everyone's support and advice. :)

We're still waiting for an adjuster to show up to look at the damage to the truck and our building.  The guy who caused it all has called three times to say how sorry he is about it and it's all I can do to be civil to him.  Based on what the police told us he's a terrible driver with a driving record of accidents and tickets as long as your arm.

I have been watching the equestrian events and some of the swimming and gymnastics.  I laughed last night when the US girls were walking past the Russian team.  They were all exchanging the fakest smiles I've ever seen. lol

Not sure I should ask, but how'd you do that? Was the stress of the Haskell too much for you?

I actually won the Haskell with Paynter, thank you very much.  But as you know, there was no money to be made there.  I did win big on a 25-1 horse name Tune Me In.  When I say big  . . . it was probably like $130 because I hardly ever bet more than $5 a race.Stick out tongue

Anyway, I broke my molar while eating a SOFT pretzel for Dog's sake.

I watched last night and thought the same thing Jackie. I did feel a little bad for how awful the Russian team did - ugh! but I was super thrilled for the fab 5. They were amazing!!!

Crazy busy day for me today...but wanted to check in on Jackie and Twister.  I know you will make all the right medication choices and keep him happy and safe for as long as possible.  Yes, thank Dog they live in the moment.  No pity partys for Twister...he just won't get it and doesn't want you to feel badly for him.  Right?  Right.  He just wants you to throw that ball and give him lots and lots of goodies.

Stay strong as I know you will and you know where to come to vent when you have tough days.

Jackie, I'm sorry the news wasn't better about Twister, but hopefully his will be a very slow-growing tumor that responds well to the drugs and other treatments available.  I know it's best to forget about our own sad and anxious emotions and try to "live in the moment" with our dogs, focusing on only positive things, but I also know how incredibly hard that is for most of us.  Sending continued good vibes to you and Twister.

Tina, that quote is beautiful -- thanks for sharing it.

Deb, I have a friend who broke a tooth eating a piece of bread.  Makes no sense -- chewing ice, eating almonds or hard candy, sure -- but bread or a soft pretzel?  You never know when a tooth has reached its limit, I guess!

The Jersey Boys show last night was excellent!  I didn't know the full Frankie Valli/Four Seasons story -- just their music.  What a career path they had.  It was cool to see what the origins of many of their hit songs were.  The guy who played Frankie had a great voice.  It was funny -- there were signs in the lobby informing people that the production contained "profane, authentic Jersey language."  I found it refreshing myself!  Big Smile

Liar.  You tried to open the bottle of vodka with your teeth - admit it.  Your hands were busy.

Tina, those were really beautiful words to share.

What is it about having a salad at my desk that makes me want to eat ANYTHING ELSE possible before taking another bite of the salad?  Sad

I'm back! We had a GREAT time! But it is good to be home. Rupey was the most excited to see me. Willa's hair must have been combed at least once because she did not have dread locks (whew!). lol

I ripped the crown off my tooth with a jelly bean. At least that's sticky. I broke it initially while brushing my teeth.
