We wwalked one block and...

We relented and powered up the central air last week (though it never got below 85 in the house even with two units running nonstop) and the dogs went CRAZY lol.  For me that's the hard part, if the dogs are used to cool, crisp air indoors and feel hyper and refreshed but then you go outside and it's like swimming through steam.  At least when it's really hot inside the house they are all laid back and just flop around and aren't demanding exercise.  They eat less too.

That's one of the tough things for Luke. I sleep in the basement, so he does too, and hands there a lot. The way our air works, I've slept some nights in flannel pants and a sweatshirt under 3 blankets and still been cold, while upstairs, they're half naked with fans going, and they still sweat. Luke would struggle no matter what in the heat because of his breed, but this doesn't help. Different breeds are just going to have more problems than others just because of the way they are built.
