I can stop gloating about our weather. The temperature's rising and the sauna effect has taken hold. 

I picked up dog poo from our backyard.  Four dogs equals lots of poo.  Then I picked up SIX frickin piles from my front yard.  Thanks people for letting your dogs roam free to poop where they please.

I read the saddest and most horrible story of animal abuse yesterday.  It happened here and a woman was charged with animal cruelty.  How she could do what she did is absolutely beyond imagination.  I feel sad that a woman did this because I always like to have my naive fantasy that women are the nurturing gender, when in realty monsters can be men or women.  I'm so glad that someone saw and reported this and hope she gets more than a slap on the wrist.  It's times like these when I don't feel very nurturing and would like to take justice into my own hands.  This incident bothered me so much I could hardly get to sleep thinking about it last night.  Sorry to be Debby downer but I know you guys understand.

Way to go Paige!  DH's cousins have a camp at the same lake, which I will not even attempt to spell.  It was shared by FIL and his sister for years, and when FIL got transfered to LA, he sold it to his sister.  But, for many years the wives and kids would spend the entire summer at the camp with the hubby's coming up for weekends.  idealic place.  FIL passed away years ago, but on July 7th and MIL wanted to go swimming.  I danged near froze to death in that lake...in JULY!

Poo duty is never fun on a hot summer day. However, it is better than a cold winter day's poo duty :)

My dogs are super bored. I almost feel bad, but after training this morning then a bike ride, I have had enough of today's heat and am enjoying the AC from my couch. Maybe around 8 or so I will take Neiko to the park and toss the frisbee around.

Hmm, stomach is growling. Time to think about dinner

 From 105 to 75 in one afternoon...thank you thunderstorm!  I will take it!

But I really am sending prayers to those without power in the mid eastern US...
