The cool down pad doesn't get them soaking wet...I know with your coats you have to watch
I wet mine down and wring them out put them in a plastic bag and head off to the show. When the heat gets up I will put them in the crate. Markie was so funny the first time, we were showing in NJ and of course living on our mountain it's much cooler, he wasn't happy with the heat. As soon as I put it in he stretched out side ways and went right to sleep cool on the bottom and air from the fan blowing!
The cool down pad stayed cool and not drippy for two days...I was impressed! I've bought more so I have extras on hand in case a friends dog might need one when we are traveling...you never know when someone will come along unprepared in the heat of summer.
One tip, I found the first time wetting it, it didn't seem to want to soak up the water in the tub, right side up(blue/paw print side) so I turned it up side down and went to finish getting ready when I returned a few minutes later it had then soaked up water and I flipped it back over and put more water on top to soak in. It has a very thin puff to it, unlike those older style jell ones which is good. The rest of the time it has soaked up the water just fine.
