The Dog Who Spoke To Gods

So many of you know who Diane Jessup is. I wasnt aware that she wrote a fiction book too! Its called the Dog Who Spoke to Dogs. I'm a huge book worm and its neat to be able to read a fiction book where the main charachter is a pit bull. These scientists are actually tracking feral dogs and Damien a brindle pit is the main charachter but they throw in so much about pit's nature and neat stuff that we can relate to plus its a heart warming story. Just in case you all are readers toooo....

Dont tell me too much, I'm about half way through. I'm a littel skeptical on the word learning thing, never knew it was possible and now I have to look it up or it will ruin the story for me, haha!

Here's another "talking" dog book.  I liked this one better than the one you're reading right now.  And, yeah, the concept is a bit far fetched.

I read them both, liked them both, but I really, really loved the Dogs of Babel.  The Dog Who Spoke With Gods is good as well and I definitely appreciated the understanding of Pit Bulls, but overall I liked the other one better.  They're both worth the read though :)

I may be misunderstanding what you mean by a "talking dog" book, but a book I really enjoyed that was "told" or narrated from the dog's perspective is called A Dog's Life.  I think the author is Peter Mayle - he also wrote A Year in Provence (not dog-related, but a good book!).  A Dog's Life is a quick read, and really good - it's about the author's dog's life in a French village.
