• Old Girl with spunk Melaney B. Posted : 7/17/2006 12:36:17 PM Hi everyone! I have 3 dogs (one being a 12 yr old lab mix) that just won't give up. She has a mild case of arthitis (not uncommon in the labs) but she still trails behind us on our walks even when i tell her to stay home because i know it's too much for her. We give her a couple of supplements which have done an amazing job at keeping our girl comfortable and spunky. Lille gets glucosamine, which helps lubricate the joints and helps maintain joint health. She also gets Yucca which reduces joint inflamation. We also have Rimadyl, but we would rather give her more holistic meds on a daily basis. We have the Rimadyl for days that she really over does it and needs a little extra. I will say Lille has been on glucosamine since she had her curciet surgery 7 years ago and she has been on the yucca for about 1.5 years.
