Brown Spots on Lawn

The association told him he had two weeks to dig it up and replant.

I swear I'm not stalking you tonight.  [sm=biggrin.gif]  That is one of the reasons why when I bought this house I made DOUBLE sure there was to be NO NO NO HOA.  Its hard to find such a house in town here, and my next abode will be my farm.  My brother has stayed in trouble with his HOA about one thing or another.  I just don't like the politics.

The truth is, I may get a brown spot on VERY rare occasion - maybe once or twice a year - this last time after my dad's dog came over.  Several weeks later its usually green again, so I don't sweat it.  If I had to share my property with others, though, my attitude would not be quite so flippant about it.

I'm sure my son feels exactly the say way!  They got into trouble when they lived on my side of town when my two sons lived together with Ollie,,,,and he killed the grass here.  I was afraid that it would make trouble between the two.  But Mike and Ollie moved to the other side of town into the same kind of association, and now he is in trouble again. I am sure his next move will be someplace where he can do what he wants.
For me, it doesn't matter...I don't mind doing the water...it keeps my little house and property looking good for us too.  I plant flowers and like being outside as much as possible so I might as well  help keep it looking good.  Of course I had the two acres when I had two dogs that DID NOT kill the grass...go figure!!!

My previous dog, a female poodle mutt, burned the lawn but good.  We lived with a polka dotted lawn for 14 years quite happily. Little Misty doesn't burn the lawn, I think her tinkle is just too little to make an impact.  Our foster dog, a male, didn't burn the lawn, but I think that's because he mainly peed by lifting a leg at a tree (or a piece of yard furniture).  They sell products you can add to your dogs water so it won't burn the lawn, but as others have said, messing with a dog's chemistry is not a very good idea.

Same thing with Ruby for the first two months or so - now just brown spots.  [:(]    I love the grass here (remember, I moved her from Arizona!) so I'll carry that stupid watering can around if it'll work. Christi
