Sensitive Belly?

    Sensitive Belly?

I dont know where to put this and it a holiday so Im hoping for any sort of response.

This morning I put my hand under Baileys belly right in front of her pee pee and lifted her up... and she cried.  So I started rubbing the area like we do at work and was looking and feeling for anything but everything "seemed" normal to me.  Its not even in the belly area really its when I put my hand right in front of her peepee and push... the very back of the belly.

Is this something that would hurt anyway?  I was just playing around with her and didnt expect that.  I dont think that area should be sensitive.

The only thing I can think is she ate a slipper yesterday.  I dont think much because it was strewn all over the house, but she certainly could have swallowed some pieces.  I guess all I can think of is something like this in there?  Im about to go feed her breakfast and will definately watch her poop.  I just dont know, and the vets not open today.

I could go to the e-vet but she acting totally normal... did her regualr morning zoomies and all that.  Nothing that tells me I need to but Im a little worried about why this may hurt.

    Any thoughts???  Thanks guys.

Personally, I'd keep an eye on her and see if she continues to act normal.  If she isn't pottying as usual, then I would take her to the vet.

Is it possible that there is something else sensitive there?  A tiny insect bite or something?  I am not very experienced with girl dogs so I really don't know.  In your situation I would just keep an eye on her.

Not very helpful, but I hope you get it figured out soon.

Thanks Kate.  Im not SO worried just because she acting totally normal... her tons of energy silly self.  I just hope she poops soon... I will feel a little better.

I examined it closely and its nothing on the surface of the skin.

Just want to add I did this while playing.. wasnt sure what it was so while checking did it again.  Then brought her out to pee b/c I thought maybe she just had to pee b/c we had just woke up so after she peed I did it and she still cried.  Its not a yelp just a little bitty cry.  I dunno.  Im not gonna do it again... just watch her.

Have you ever touched her in this area before??  I'm just thinking maybe it's an area she doesn't like touched and is being dramatic?  Or, maybe had a bad experience with that same area at one time.

I know Willow cries like she's in a lot of pain when we try to do anything with her ears.  But, it's just drama.

She might have a urinary tract infection. If her pee smells odd or is dark, or she's peeing a little bit but a lot of times... just keep an eye on her.

She did poop.  Im sorry I asked two questions but then we went out on the boat for the day so were just getting back.

After I posted she pooped and then ate a lot of grass.  She always eats grass but not this much.  We got home a bit ago... so we'll see.  I was thinking about her just being a little dramatic but the cry is almost like shes trying not to.  Like very faint and while shes wagging her tail... so Im thinking its hurting her but shes ignoring it.  When she pooped it was 4 pieces and the last was soft.  She generally makes 1 to 1 1/2 pieces...

We just got home.  Im a bad mommy for leavng her..[&o]  but we had plans.  She still seems fine.  I will keep you updated and tell her shes making everyone worry!![:)]
