    target pet stuff

I have not been to Target in forever, and except for some online shopping I have not really looked at their pet supplies for awhile. Yesterday I was at the mall with my sister, and we went into Target for a few minutes. I stopped in the pet supply section to pick up some new dog toys, and I could not believe all the ;pet stuff they had! Sadly, I love the theme cloths with matching bowls and toys. I admit that I'm always jealous that the saints won't fit in the little costumes, and the bowls would only hold a saint-sized snack. [8D] We were cracking up in the aisle with the cowboy theme dog cloths.(There were even little booties, that looked like cowboy boots.) My sister suggested that I buy the cowboy outfits and saloon girl dresses for the cats and dress them up, since the dogs won't fit in cloths. I did not buy anything for the cats, but we had a good laugh anyway. I can just picture how PO'd Fatty Kitty would be if I tried to squeeze her into a cowgirl outfit!

I love the dog toys at Target sometimes...I have actually found some of the best ones there from time to time.  Just like any pet store though, sometimes it gets to the point where it seems like thye need to change them up and get some new ones b/c we already have everything we are interested in getting.  They now carry the [linkhttp://www.fatcatinc.com]www.fatcatinc.com[/link] line which seems to be pretty sturdy!  This post just reminded me that I was going to get the snake that Silly Sally has when I was there today but I forgot!  [&:]  My kitties would be really PO'd if I tried to dress them up too and Izzy is way too much of a maniac to put something like that on her and expect it to stay for more than a few minutes!

If you ever do break down and dress up the cat, PLEASE videotape it! This I gotta see! Then go get first aid. [;)]

One of Fatty's pet pals on catster owns several cats. The owner dresses them up, and then takes pictures to post whenever she updates the catster pages. It's actually pretty funny, because some of her cats don't look very pleased about the costumes. Fatty is one of those really lazy, yet very grouchy cats. She would probably tolerate the cloths, but would look completely put out with me. I imagine it would be the same look that was one her face when I gave her an lion haircut last year. [sm=crazy.gif]

That's always the reaction I have when I see all the cute clothes they have for dogs.  When I was younger we always wanted to take the dogs trick or treating, so I think we just made costumes for them.  I know that one of them hauled Girl Scout cookies around in a wagon with a beanie and sash on, but that was years ago.  I wouldn't trade their size in for anything, though, that's for sure!

The snake stuffie in my siggy is from Target.  Sally has had it since Christmas and it still lives, despite her best efforts!

Loki had that snake from Target when he was younger. We spent $8 on it because it looked "indestructible". Ha! He had a hole in the poor thing within 10 minutes. So I sewed the hole and gave the snake to a friend whose dog doesn't eat his friends. [:D

Interesting--Maybe Sally isn't as hard on toys as I thought.  She spent a good 30 minutes one time holding the snakie between her paws and yanking as hard as she could, and it's a favorite tug toy for her.

She typically murders regular stuffies in short order.

I love Target in general but yeah they do have cute dog stuff. We bought two dog beds there that are both great. We once bought a doggie raincoat that Russell has since grown out of.

We had that same snake and Russell ripped it head open in about 5 minutes. The alligator by the same toy company actually lasted a few months, the longest stuffy life ever for us.

we have bought cat beds and dogs beds at target. sydney slept in one of the cat beds when he was much smaller. their biggest dogs bed was about half the price of the same sized bed at petsmart.  i also like the stainless steel bowl we got there better than the one we got at petsmart. the target one seemed to be better quality. we have bought lots of pet products there. targets boots and barkley line seems to be pretty good quality stuff for the most part.
