    It's all so clear now

every now and then Molly will go into our entry room and bark like there's something in the backyard. And bears must be awake by now, so we always go look assuming there's a critter out there. Yet there continues to be nothing.
Tonight I discovered what it was [8|]
Molly see the "other dog" in the atrium door...her reflection [8D]

haaahaa! She's probably say, hey look at that gorgeous dog out there! Come in and play with me!

Oh my gosh!!  That's FUNNY.  At least now you know what's setting her off.  Silly girl!

Haha!  The "Other Dogs" can get a little confusing around here.  Once the "Other Onyx" bit the ear of the "Other Keira" and the real Keira tried to attack the mirror!

That's funny. [sm=lol.gif] Bailey did that when we first got her too. She'd bark at her reflection in the familyroom window at night, and she'd also stand up on the arm of one of our chairs then look into the bathroom 20 ft. away and bark at the dog in the mirror. She only did that for a week or two though, and she never made a peep any other time. Even now (more than a year later) she hardly ever barks or makes noise.

That's funny.......Come to think about it my Uncle's GSD would do that in mirrors or anything that she could see her reflection in.

Yep, been there with mine and that stuff too. Boss went nuts when he first saw his reflection in the sliding glass door when we moved here.. then he flipped out when I walked up behind him. He lost his mind for a minute and kinda scared me. Later the same night he discovered the mirrored closet doors on the wall opposite of the foot of my bed.. gee wasn't that fun!!!

Gracie is learning the mirror now too.

Isn't that the sweetest thing.  My nephew had a dobie that would get really upset with the other guy in the mirror.  He wanted to play but all that kept happening was him getting bonked when he would try to tackle the other dog.  Gotta love 'em

Glad you figure out what she was barking at [;)]

My mom's wheaten, Cali, would play bow to her reflection when she was a puppy. It was so cute, she'd bring every toy she could find to entice her friend to play. [sm=crazy.gif]

In Grady's case the "other dog" was on the ceiling of our friend's store.  He just couldn't figure out who that dog was, why it didn't want to play with him & what on earth was it doing on the ceiling?

Those are all such funny mirror stories!

When I was eight I was lying in the grass in the backyard, and I saw my cat walk past the basement window, turn and look and suddenly she went ::::POOOWWWFFF::::: and whoofed herself WAY huge and started bouncing around on stiff legs and spitting at that *other cat.*

Sofie stops periodically and calmly consideres the dog in the mirror. Just for a moment. She'll sit down, or just stand and look calmly, then move on. She was fooled once, and I think she thought she saw her sister in the mirror, she looked so happy, but after she walked behind the mirror closet door and Athena wasn't there, she was so disappointed that I think she just thinks it's weird people stuff.

Stevie and Hunter *always* walked around behind the mirrors to try to find the other dog. Stevie would also check behind speakers for whoever was making all that noise.
