Are you Canadian? I looked at your site last night and saw you were in BC. We left Ottawa to move to Belgium.
Do you miss living in Brussels?

Where did you see on my site that I am in BC.  I now live in Cincinnati, Oh....

I miss Brussels soooooo much.  We lived there for 18 years, and it was amazing.  I love the pace, the FOOD, the beer, the people, the animals....I miss it all.

I will hopefully retire to Brussels.  How long will you be there?

Have you been able to travel much?
Tell me about the puppy classes in Mons.  Are they running similarly to ones in the US?

    Hi!

Where did you see on my site that I am in BC.  I now live in Cincinnati, Oh....

Forgive me. Chalk it up to information overload on my part .[sm=crazy.gif]
Cincinnati is a great place, I haven't been in years but I use to live right across the river in Northern Ky.

We'll be in Mons till summer of 2009. But we'll try are best to lengthen are time even further. If not an extension here then we will just try to remain somewhere in Europe. Until that time arrives, we'll just enjoy the here and now..And we are certainly doing that!

We've traveled quite a bit, and will continue to do so. It will change somewhat with our new furry addition, but we are fortunate that most areas are so dog friendly over here..My husbands family lives in the UK. And it is just a little more difficult and a bit of a cost factor to enter with pets..  The vet spoke told me it will be a matter of additional testing and waiting periods, which we will begin after we have her spayed.  Another thing is that ;pet passports are required over here which i just love. I think that is the greatest idea, and it keeps a nice neat record with all of their info and vaccine records.  I have been very impressed with the care over here. And the basic behaviour of animals you see in public. And it seems everyone has a dog, and they take them with them everywhere.. I have not seen bad manners yet ( in dogs that is[;)])

I am not familiar with puppy classes in the US. My last little girl i trained myself. This is not my first dog, but it is a new experience for me with a herding breed, and dog of her size and energy requirements ( not too mention the intelligence factor. i had a terrier mix before and she was smart, but Chinook is already constantly amazing me with how quick she is picking things up) My biggest fear is that i will make mistakes.. i really want to do right by her. She deserves nothing but the best. She has such a sweet disposition and wants to please me ( 95% of the time unless she is in her puppy distracted mode[sm=lol.gif])

I went to a few  classes. One didn't make me feel comfortable. But sometimes my partial grasp of french can be a bit of a problem. The other i enjoyed the people (one of my french teachers introduced me to this area) but it is a bit of a drive as it is in the north of france. Tomorrow night we have a new class and i know another couple who take their dogs for agility training to this place. It's all by postive training methods which is how i wish to train Chinook. If you are interested i will let you know how it goes :)

Sorry i seem to have written a small novel.

Also tried to include a picture instead of the links to see if i could.

I am glad to hear that you are enjoying yourself.  You have a very cute puppy!

Anyway, if you have any training questions please let me know.  Also, I am pretty knowledgeable on travel throughout Western Europe.

    Enjoy the board!
