    Ewwwwwwwww

Middle of the night, can't sleep, Ben wakes up needing to pee.  I am dressed (have learned my lesson!) but barefoot.  Go outside with Ben and step on a slug!  Euuuughhhh!

I have sensory issues when it comes to bizarre textures.  Slimy things, really grainy things, surfaces that are to smooth and slippery.  Stepping on a slug makes me physically ill.

What made it even worse was the slug exploded when I stepped on it.  I've just had to scrub my feet about 10 times.  Love for all living creatures and all that, but some things I just can't take.  CryingCryingCrying

Totally pointless, but sleep deprivation will do that to a girl.

Don't we all have sensory overload when we come into contact with something that totally freaks us out. I could not help but bust a gut at your description of It exploded when I stepped on it...  Then went over the edge at the scrubbing of the feet... Way too much... My sides hurt!

As an example of  freaked out was of all things, an iguana... creepy, creepy... especially when they hiss at you.... One of those touches me I instinctively want to turn myself inside out trying to get away from one... Shivers....~~~~

I keep a pair of flip flops right beside the door at all times. I get the heebie jeebies walking barefoot where I can't see. Years ago I stepped on a toad and my skin crawls still thinking about it.

Yucky!!!!  I stepped on a snail barefoot before and his shell crunched... ew!  I felt bad for it too.

We definitely all have that. Imagine being given a closed cup and they tell you it has orange juice in it, you drink and it's milk, the first 3 seconds you will be freaked out at what you just drank. Bad example but still. >_>

I too keep my slippers right by my bed.
