Adoption question

My friend is looking to adopt a German shepherd puppy, like me. He asked me who he should call to find a local breeder. I remembered there was a group or something that you can call, but i forgot what its called. Can anyone help me out? He wanted to know who he should call to find a good, reputable breeder.

The first thing I would do is contact a local GSD rescue group. From there I would email the GSD parent club, you can get the contact info from AKC's website. I highly recommend the rescues though.

Thank you for your help, he is going to call some rescue groups and humane societies and see if he can get anywhere with that. He wants a young puppy.

One of my good friends is very involved in GSD rescue, they get pups as young as 4 months all the time. People get into GSDs and have NO CLUE what is involved with raising a pup.

The rescues, IMO, will be alot more help and put your friend into contact with resources that the humane society will not. Good Luck
