There's an article about it on the home page at Bad Dogs, Inc. Barbara Davis, owner of Bad Dogs, is also a sponsor of the No Shock Collar Coalition, so her comments are not surprising. I was disappointed at the sale, too, and I know that renowned trainers like Pat Miller are considering boycotting Premier products in protest, although they are worried about the lack of availability of certain products not easily replicated elsewhere. I am inclined to think that if there are products we can use that do not support profits being directed toward something we don't believe in, that it is probably something to consider, even if we cannot completely find other alternatives. For now, at least the most common products do have alternatives for those who want to make a switch - the Comfort Trainer or the Snoot Loop can be substituted for the Gentle Leader. The Halti Harness, the Sporn, or the Sense-ible Harness can be substituted for the Easy Walk. If you already have the Premier products, keep using them if they are working for you, but the others are very similar and work as well. As for the interactive toys, try a TreatStik - made in USA!
