Yikes, Janice! Hope your hubby's okay - he'd better heal up quickly so he can pamper you head to toe, the way you deserve!

Thanks everyone for the kind words, they do mean a lot :)

Paige, here's what I've been using this afternoon to cheer me up - BBC's "Walk on the Wild Side" series!

We're going to Pittsburgh this weekend.

Ooooh, for something fun, I hope?  Have you been here before?  Let's hope the rest of this icky icy mess melts, since it's looking pretty grimy around here lately.  Hope the dog-sitter comes through for you!

Cita, that sounds a mess, but we've done something similar and it worked out.  DH went to a school that wasn't even close to his top 10, just to be by me, and although it was a sacrifice, I'm not entirely sure anymore that he would have liked his first choice either.  It's been a different set of choices, for us, but so far it's worked out just fine and we're happy. Not to say that you need to give up your dream, but I think once you explore what your priority is -- and for me and DH, it was hands-down family over work/school, but it might be different for you -- it makes it easier.  I honestly couldn't care what I did for a career if it meant I had him and family, but for some people it's not that clear cut. Good luck!

Hurry up, Jano's baby! Feel better, Mr. Jano!

Cita, thanks for asking about Tiki - she's holding her own. She's the worst in the morning - she coughs and coughs. For some reason the last few days I've been extra-sad that I know we're going to lose her, that's it's just a matter of time.

So this AM, I took 2 Excedrine Migraine (they were on sale at CVS, whoo! I love it when something I was going to buy anyway was on sale...) and then gulped down a medium latte on my way to BF's swearing in ceremony. I was so jittery by the time I got there. I felt super good by lunchtime, so I forgot to take more medicine and now I've got an awesome bounce-back migraine, complete with nausea and dizziness. Yay. I need some more gatorade.

Glenda, I am an old fuddy-duddy most of the time. When I get really mad I tend to drop the f-bomb though. Bad habit. Anyway, I'm glad MOST OF US kept it clean today. Way to drop the ball Tina :)

Going up to see my old roommate.  Plus Chad wants a Permani (sorry don't remember how to spell it) Bros sandwich and I want breakfast from Pamela's.  I went to school there for a little bit, Carlow College...er...University.  But I go back every now and then to see Marci, she usually finds fun stuff for us to do.

I can't believe that is it 5:20pm today is like a lost day - ah well just more to do tonight and tomorrow

    Just a vent:

There is an "outside" dog that lives behind our property.  He's OK, kind of sweet, old lab/gr mix, had a sibling who disappeared a while back.  Anyway he keeps coming to our property and pooping, my guess at night.  His poop has worms. I put a note in the "owner's" mail box about him escaping and pooping with worms. No reply.  Not sure what to do, I did find an area in the fence where he was digging under so blocked that earlier but not sure what else to do.  I tried to help the previous "owner" rehome both of them several years ago but no one was interested in them so they would be put down. At this point I just don't want B to get worms from him, is that possible?  Thankfully or may be not B thinks he's a nice playmate, so at least I don't have to worry about aggression or anything.  The whole "outside" dog thing repulses me

Courtney, thanks for the links - I'll have to check them out when I get home from work.  This computer is locked down tight, so I can't even download Adobe Flash Players.

I wanna meet Baby Maybe Sonja soon!  I really think it's going to be the 7th.  I thought it the other day.  Because 3+7='10.  GeekedWhenever she arrives, I hope it's a smooth, easy, enjoyable day for mom, baby, and daddy - and that momma gets to choose the name. lol

((TIGHT HUGS)) to Courtney & Paige.

Courtney, I hope an answer just plops in your lap.

Paige, I'm sending good margin & good pathology vibes for C.

I'm sending an engraved invite for Sonja to come on out.  It's okay little one.  Sure your new brother looks a little different than you but I assure you he'll love you to pieces.

Julie, dogs have a way of humbling us.  You think you're on the right path & then you backslide a bit. I know that G has humbled me more times than I care to remember.

Oh, Barb, I hope you feel better soon.  UTI's are the worst.

Deb, I'm glad you're feeling better.  I'm jealous that you're getting a pedi with your babygirl.  What fun.

Paige, I'm thrilled for the person who is adopting the red Dober & the red dober.  I wish them MANY years of happiness & health.

Steph, have an awesome time this weekend.  I think you deserve some time away.  It does a body good to just step away from things for a while.

Oh, I hope Mr. Jano is feeling better.

Meg, I hope your headache is going away.  I'm sending 'healthy' vibes to you & to Mz Tiki!  Hang in there little white girl.  *ear rubbies*

Nothing happening here except the sun is out & I'm starting to think about gardening.

I have been totally craving Mexican food. Especially because there's a new Mexican restaurant in town that is super yummy. But the first time we went there, I had room-clearing (dober?) gas for a solid 24 hours after eating. The second time, about a day later, I had that awful stomach bug and I was sick and totally dehydrated for 4 days (I lost 4 lbs.) So... I'm thinking it's probably not a good idea to be in gastric distress when the possibility of pushing and pushing to deliver a baby is near. LMAO! Plus, if I end up having a c-section, I really don't want to be extra gassy. The spinal block causes your intestines to stop moving, so everything in there just sits, and gas just builds up. After abdominal surgery, squeezing out a fart isn't the easiest thing to do. TMI!!! Yup.

    That's awesome! LOL

I think if we do name her Sonja, her nickname will be "onion" because that's what it sounds like when Willa tries to say Sonja. Hee hee!

I'm guessing DH is feeling better. He didn't come home from work early anyway. But he did bring a change of pants, just in case. Embarrassed Poor guy.

I always thought if I didn't get Pirate's harness slipping under control, I'd try a Sporn harness. Not for the not-pulling aspect of it, but only because I can't see how a dog could slip out. Just an idea.

Teenie Weenie's little stump legs popped RIGHT out of a Sporn. I seriously didn't find any harness that the "Teenie Wiggle (TM)" coulnd't defeat. She could slip a choke chain, but a martingale stayed on. It was a miracle! She was not exactly a nice dog, and when she slipped her harness on the beach to chase somebody's kid, I went on the search for the One And Only Escape Proof Collar.
