OK, now I'm a little worried!

Last Monday when DH and I got home from work, Izzy had managed to get her coller off of her neck and shred it to pieces.  It is leather and has little rhinestones on it.  DH cleaned it all up before I got home so I have no idea how much he found and if she swallowed any of it or not.  I did go through her crate and the general vicinity and found some more pieces, including the clasp and disposed of them.  I have come across a piece or two through the week but I think we got everything off the floor and out of her kennel b/c they are usually on top of a shelf or something.

So I have watched her all week.  She has been eating and pooping regularly and has not acted in any way out of the ordinary.  Just now, almost a week later, she was sleeping under the blanket DH is taking a nap under and I could here her throwing up.  I look at it, and it was pieces of that collar and there was even a rhinestone in it.

Should I be worried now?  Is it possible it would have sat in her stomach all week?  I know it is possible she found another piece of it somewhere today and ate it but it was just odd....I will check with the vet tomorrow but are there any signs I should be watching for besides eating and pooping regulary?  Her poop looks normal and this is the first time she has thrown up.  She doesn't seem to be tender anywhere and has had a normal activity level up to this point.

I had a Lab that compulsively ate just about anything.  If he thought I wanted it back or another dog might want it, he swallowed it.  We worked hard on "trade" and "give", but when his back was against the wall (not literally) he reverted to his first behavior.

Beamish would puke up all sorts of interesting thing days after he swallowed it.  Socks, metal tabs from dog food rolls, stuffed toys, plastic bits, etc.  It never seemed to cause a problem.  I think his stomach would just get tired of trying to digest it and up it came.

Definitely double check with your vet, but I think your pup will be fine.

I think since you said shes been pooping and eating normally that had she eaten it a week ago it would have passed out.  She probably found some more of it recently and it didnt agree.  Maybe thats a sign that she didnt really eat it when she ripped it up but maybe saw a nice shiny piece of it later and ate it.  I would say as long as she eats drinks and poops normal you dont need to worry.
