    What breeds are they?

We want to know if anyone has any idea what breeds our dogs are. (: When we got both of them we weren't too sure if they were pure bred or not so now we just want to get other people's opinions. Here's the first one.

We don't know if she's a mix or not but she doesn't really look that much like a German Shepherd like her brother does. xP (She has a spotted tongue if that makes any difference :P)

Here's Max after he had a surgery. We were pretty sure he was a Mastiff but the Vet. said that Newfoundlands were the breeds that usually got the sickness he had before so she told us that he might be a Mastiff/Newfoundland mix. What do you think? (The pictures were taken about a year ago)

    Thanks!

The second one sure looks GSD to me. And Max looks like a mastiff to me. Dont know bout the first one though.

The first one looks like a GSD mix. The second looks all GSD. And the third looks like an English Mastiff.

The first two dogs are from the same litter though so if one is a mix, the other one is too. Any ideas on what the other half of the mix is? :/

That isn't true. Litters can have multiple sires. I've seen it happen, where a purebred dog was bred to another purebred dog, then "got out" and had a rendevous with whoever. Part of the puppies were purebred, and part were mixes.

I would guess for the first two that it's a GSD x GSD mix (or even possibly a pure, yet very pet/BYB-bred GSD).  The second dog could ILP as a GSD no problem.  The spotted tongue makes no difference, very common in pure GSDs.

...And the third looks like an English Mastiff.

His coat looks a little long/thick to be all Mastiff.  His coat length reminds me of a Saint Bernard.  Maybe he's Saint/Mastiff.  Out of curiosity, what the ailment he was treated for when the vet mentioned Newfs?

My GSD (pure) has a spotted tongue. I wonder if the first one is deluted somehow?

Your second dog (the gsd) does not looked mix at all.

ETA: There are fawn colored gsd's, rare and a fault. Poor genetics. Now there is the possibility that the bitch did get caught by 2 different males, one a GSD and the other a mix.....Was the mother a full GSD?

Thanks for all the replies everyone!

I'm really not sure about the the GSDs parents, I'll have to ask my parents for the answer to that. :P I'm just asking around here since our family is curious. I didn't know that puppies in a litter could have different parents, that's pretty interesting. XD

Max had kidney stones though Mastiffs are prone to getting them as well right? I'll try and get up another picture of him up since he doesn't have the cone anymore.

Edit: The one time he wouldn't sit still.. sorry for the quality, we found already developed pictures of him and I just took a shot at them with my computer's webcam.
