    Another guess the breed......

This is Domino. He came from the pound as an owner turn in, where he was listed as a Brittany mix. He weighs 25 pounds, has a docked tail, and he points.

My guess would be either a purebred Brittany or a pb French Brittany.  Friends of ours that have field bred Britts have had a couple that color.  The field bred Britts seem to be a little leggier than the bench bred ones, too.

My initial thought was that he might be pb, mainly b/c I wondered why anyone would go to the trouble to dock the tail on a mixed breed, however his size is what threw me off. He is about 20 lbs lighter than a regular Brittany. He does look alot like those French Brittanies though - exactly like some of them.

I don't think He is a purebred. The furnishings around the head don't seem true to Brittanies, and without meaning to offend I think that's great. He has such a clever and open look. Could there be any Border Collie in him?  What a happy boy, great job with him!

    A brittney for sure

I was trying to find this thread the other day... what about Brittany x Springer? My dad's hunting buddies brought two new dogs this year (last month was dove season :P) who were that mix and they looked just like this dog. Nice little working dogs, too.

I'd say Brittany mix. Regarding tail docking on mixes, I see it often. Especially on Rott mixes (even with the dog in question is 30 lbs Confused )But also on a few hunting breed mixes I've seen. I think many times people (BYBs) think it will help the pups sell more easily.

He definitely has the markings and look of a border collie.  The brown/white or red/white, I'm not sure of the colors, but definitely BC.  Beautiful Dog!  Just Beautiful!

Whoops, missed the tail part, but still he looks like a BC.  May have some springer in him or even australian Shep. but looks like a bc to me.  Tail or no tail!
